First Independent Power Limited (FIPL) is a Power Generation company located in Rivers state with 4 simple gas turbine power plants with a total capacity of 541MW. Following the nation’s privatization exercise, Sahara, through its power division, Sahara Power Group and sundry affiliations, acquired FIPL. We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Security Officer Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Job Type: Full Time Overview

FIPL presently needs a Security Officer to join her workforce and will report to the Chief Security Officer.

Purpose Statements

To assist the CSO in developing and implementing strategic security protocols and procedures.

Key Deliverables:

Enforce FIPL security procedures and protocols
Interpret security procedures to guards
Carry out routine security assessments and surveys
Intelligence gathering
Guards supervision
Support CSO with daily, weekly and other reports collated from various plants
Monitor CCTV and report breaches
Investigate breaches if directed
Carry out other functions as assigned by the CSO

Knowledge/Skills

Holder of degree or HND in Social/Management Sciences or any relevant discipline
Must be computer literate with good knowledge of Micro soft word and excel
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Industrial Security
Physically fit with ability to work with little or no supervision
Should live in Port Harcourt
