We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Logistics Officer Location: Maiduguri, Borno Reports to: Senior Operations Coordinator Type of Contract: Fixed Term Contracted Hours: 35 Contract Length: 4 months Role Purpose

  • To contribute to Christian Aid humanitarian program in Borno state and to support the effective implementation of CAID funded projects in the Humanitarian Response.
Role Context
  • The Logistics officer will be stationed in Christian Aid Maiduguri office, Borno state
  • The Logistics Officer will focus on Logistics supports but also work in close cooperation with other Logistics and field staff to ensure that related Logistics issues are coordinated. S/he be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Logistics activities by coordinating with staff on the field and all stakeholders.
Key Outcomes
  • Prepare necessary documents for handling logistics of goods and services procured in accordance with donor and CA rules and regulations.
  • Ensure distribution of all materials according to the logistics plan using all relevant logistics documents.
  • Support the BSU team to conduct logistics needs assessments and identify needs in relation to Logistics activities in implementing locations.
  • Coordinate the distribution of all Agricultural inputs and livestock in all implementing locations
Role Profile

  • The Senior Programme Coordinator (SPC) Food Security and Nutrition provides day to day oversight and strategic leadership on the development and implementation involving management of all aspects of the programme, including recruitment and performance management, assessments, designing, planning, implementation, monitoring staff capacity building, reporting and technical support to the Food Security and Nutrition Programme.
  • Will be responsible for managing Christian Aid WFP Food Security and Nutrition programmes, projects and partnerships as well as the effective management of significant budget funds.
Role Context
  • The role works within the International Programmes role family positioned in Maiduguri, the role is part of the wider Nigeria Country Humanitarian Response Team. The role works closely and directly with Deputy Humanitarian Response Manager and the Humanitarian Response Manager based in Maiduguri and also with Humanitarian Division’s Regional Emergency Manager, as well as other colleagues from the Nigeria team.
