Job For Business Development Manager In A Renowned Telecommunications Firm


Willers Solutions Limited - Our client, a telecommunications company operates globally in the developing Operations Support Systems (OSS) market for telecommunications is looking to fill the position of:     Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Lagos Job Description

  • To drive sales of the company solutions to customers directly and through partners
  • Drives introduction of new solutions to the region
  • Identifies events and forums where company solutions should be promoted and participates in them
  • Based on the understanding of the customer needs and the company offering, identifies opportunities, creates and executes win plans to win them together with the Account Team
Nature of the role in relation to networks (relation to stakeholders internally and externally:
  • Has relationship with key customers in coordination with the Account Team
  • Creates and communicates value proposition and company unique sales points to customers
  • Feeds the market requirements to the Solution Management
  • Has good internal network in the region and with the global organization.
Nature of the role in relation to operational business (nature of operational responsibilities):
  • Together with Solution Architects creates customer solutions
  • RFx responses
  • Bid management in selected cases
  • Supports the partners with Partner Management
Requirements Experience / Skills:
  • Good understanding of the OSS/BSS domain and related (non-functional) requirements including technologies and standards
  • Good knowledge of ICT-networks including but not limited to IP, PSTN, mobile, CUG (Closed User Group) cable, and transmission.
  • Ideally 5+ years of industry experience
  • Solution selling and marketing experience
  • Experience in building customer solutions and technical argumentation
  • Experience in building customer biz cases, differentiation, positioning and value propositions
  • Strong understanding of telecom operators business, business processes, industry players and business trends
  • Good sales and relationship skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive and results driven
  • Good knowledge (3 year experience) of two or more of the following OSS/BSS systems; Wholesale/retail Billing, Interconnect billing, Charging, Policy Control, Roaming Management, CRM, Assurance, Order Management, Inventory, Provisioning & Activation, Product & Service Catalog
