  • Working closely with all the departments in the company in planning marketing campaigns.
  • Establish campaigns milestones to ensure event is ready for go live date.
  • Establish a contingency plan to prepare for the worst.
  • Push for deadlines' all tasks are interdependent: one deadline is missed, and several tasks are delayed.
  • Proposing a couple of concepts for each event: value proposition, visual identity, claim, onsite user flow, deals logic, animations, levers to success.
  • You are responsible for delivering a world-class customer experience.
  • Doing heavy international e-commerce event benchmarking and year-long competitor intelligence (offline and online) for upcoming and past commercial events.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and build insights that will shape campaigns.
  • Contribute to research, by working with the campaign management to support the creation of customer personas which demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of our key audience segments.
  • Identifying and monitoring competitor events and alternative ways the market place will accumulate information, market knowledge, and commercial relationships.
  • Work closely with the project team to understand our position within the market and ensure we stay competitive.
  • In partnership with your team, conduct customer focus groups to support innovation in event design - i.e new ways of doing things, what forms of participation do our customers value?
  • Creating and maintaining (alongside our data teams) an event(s) database of high-value campaigns.
  • Working with the campaigns team to develop and execute a year-round, content-led marketing strategy to engage new and existing audiences, to support acquisition, nurturing, sales conversion.
  • Using data to measure the success of campaigns.
  • Providing creative direction on the look and feel of your specific events (working in collaboration with the Design team to create marketing collateral in various formats.
  • Monitoring performance via Google Analytics or similar tools to identify and recommend performance improvement tactics.
Professional Skills & Qualifications
  • Background in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations and related field from an accredited university.
  • At least 2- 4 years of experience in project management.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers and senior leadership.
  • Drive and entrepreneurship mindset, hands on attitude required to bring maximum impacts
  • Strong Business skills and familiarity with retail analytics
  • Merchandiser, curious for competition best practice (offline and online), savvy of branding/event novelties.
  • Customer Focus: Builds strong relationships (internal/external) and uses strong marketing skills to deliver customer-focused digital media marketing solutions.
  • Action Oriented: Uses strong organisational, project management, and analytical abilities to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm.
  • Communicates Effectively: Effective written and verbal communication skills that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Instills Trust: Gains the confidence of others by modelling honesty, integrity, authenticity, and behaviours that align with Jumia’s values..

  • Proficient with Google Analytics, Microsoft Office and has and e-survey skills.

  • Drive analysis of performance metrics to identify opportunities andbuild evidence for strategic decisions.

  • Jumia is able to increase its presence through the JForce, a network of consultants who distribute goods and services to remote areas of the region. Our ambition with the JForce is to empower consultants, enabling them to make a living by giving access to the internet to the most isolated Africans.
  • As a Head of Offline Sales Channels,you will be in charge of growing this multi-level marketing level channel.
  • Manage the whole sales force and create a sustainable pyramid to maximize sales revenues but also the size of your sales force to meet the business objectives.
  • Develop and implement business plan.
  • Formulate all sales policies, strategies and procedures of this business.
  • Educate the sales team by establishing training programs thattarget the sales of key products as well as areas of target sales and growth.
Professional Skills & Qualifications
  • Evidence of successfully leading others to exceed measurable sales and revenue targets.
  • Ability to both set strategy, manage sales quotas, and follow through on tactical implementation and execution of initiatives – an operator with vision.
  • Demonstrated experience with “Consultative Selling” to identify and solve customer problems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • At least 6+ years experience in a working in a sales position preferably managing a large team.
  • Experience in Projects Management with proven ability to drive processes from inception to finish.
  • Capable of teaching the process for successful prospecting & closing new business, leading to consistent quota achievement.
