  • As a Third-Party Regional Manager you will oversee daily warehouse and logistics operation within the assigned regions. You will be the handling 3PL & Distributors to deliver all cost & functional goals.
  • Overseeing daily operations of up to 10 operational sites.
  • Provide overall operational management direction and guidance to regional offices on daily operations.
  • Manage the performance of our clients 3PL sites through the establishment of processes and procedures with clear expectations using defined metrics.
  • Evaluate regional customer satisfaction and drive continuous improvement of partnership.
  • Coordinate regional performance issues resolution.
  • Develop Carrier / 3PL relationships and compliance on agreed KPI’S delivery dates.
  • Monitor shipments milestones that are reported and ensure that PODs are available for all deliveries within 24 working hours of a delivery having been made.
  • Supervise hub managers in partnership with sub departments.
  • Provide Insight and business strategy operational growth within your region
  • Ensure continuous operational improvement adapting the Lean methodology.
  • Coordinate with systems/ IT teams to make use of technology to improve processes
Professional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • Strong knowledge and background (minimum 4+ years) in freight forwarding, logistics, warehouse management, material handling and logistics technology and tools.
  • MBA or Master's Degree in Operations, Supply Chain or Logistics would be an added advantage.
  • Successful history of operational management, problem resolution and/or solution design.
  • Project management and project planning skills an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, networking, interpersonal and influencing skills needed to communicate and command respect at all levels, manage in a matrix environment, and create networks across diverse technical, cultural, and language groups.
  • This position requires infrequent travel to meet with internal, external client customers, 3PL operations located in the region.

  • You will lead numerous improvement projects aimed at streamlining activities while driving up performance and quality. Taking part in regional and global initiatives, you will tackle complex problems that affect customers and work to resolve them with innovative solutions.
In particular you will:
  • Support delivery of operational consistency across the supply chain through both process and technology
  • Participate in implementing lean management practice across Jumia Services globally
  • Work with business and broader Ops team to ensure initiatives are appropriately prioritized and supported
  • Participate in technology development by giving constant feedback on requirement for Warehouse & Logistics operations.
  • Monitoring of 5S practices and Material handling
  • Lead the design and implementation of initiatives that eliminate waste, reduce lead time and improve business performance while establishing a sustainable model for continuous improvement
  • Work with Country Manager to identify performance gaps, prioritize and manage improvement roadmap
  • Through robust data analysis of key operational and cost metrics, identify opportunities for innovation and work with all Ops teams to quantify the value of the opportunity i.e. Optimizing warehouse and Jumia Express operations
  • Improve main KPIs: Vendor Net Promoter Score, Vendor Satisfaction Score, Seller Ops Queue Management, SLA DS collection cost effective pricing efficiency, lost in seller ops
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, ability to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from data.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of distribution center/fulfilment operations and processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key business financial metrics
  • Master’s Degree/MBA required in an applicable discipline (Mathematics, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, etc.)
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive related work with demonstrated experience in Continuous Improvement and/or Operational Excellence in a large fulfilment or distribution environment
  • At least 3 years of experience using data visualization tools like Qlik, Tableau, or Microsoft Power BI
  • At least 3 years of experience in Project management and time management skills – experience with end-to-end project management processes
