  • We are looking for a Recruitment Specialist to undertake all hiring activities, from advertising open roles to interviewing candidates and closing hires.
  • Recruitment Specialist responsibilities include connecting with potential candidates online and offline, screening applications and supporting hiring managers. If you have experience evaluating candidates for roles of various fields and seniority levels, we’d like to meet you.
  • Ultimately, you will be responsible for hiring qualified people while maintaining a positive candidate experience.
Responsibilities
  • Create and publish job adverts in various portals
  • Network with potential hires through professional groups on social media and during events
  • Collaborate with line managers to set qualification criteria for future employees
  • Screen resumes and job applications
  • Conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates
  • Interview candidates in-person for a wide range of roles (junior, senior and executive)
  • Track hiring metrics including time-to-hire, time-to-fill and source of hire
  • Design, distribute and measure the results of candidate experience surveys
  • Train and advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and assessment methods
  • Host and participate in job fairs
  • Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Maintain a database of potential candidates for future job openings.
Qualifications Functional Competencies/Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Recruitment Specialist, Recruiter or similar role.
  • Familiar with food industry trends
  • Process Management, Knowledge and Application
  • Strong understanding of the country's specific labor laws.
Educational Qualification/Experience:
  • Minimum of a University Degree or HND in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience practicing Human Resources

  • Plan the requirement and availability of human resources for the division/HO’s business over time and ahead
  • Make available for all staff all work tools or conditions that contributes to or enhances the delivery of excellent performances from employees
  • Conduct Performance Appraisal across the operating team in the organisation.
  • Recommend to management approach and strategy to manage and improve capacity of employees
  • Prepare and deploy payroll activities every month and ensure all employees are paid promptly and correctly.
  • Identify aspects of the business operations that requires adequate skills improvements through trainings; Internal and External.
  • Ensure the compliance of employees to the business rules and the company policies and the statutes listed in the company’s staff handbook
  • Establish a network of relationships with the employees and ensure that this improves efficiency across the businesses.
  • Provide motivational programs that will likewise improve initiatives and ingenuities across the business.
  • Ensure compliance to the labor laws of the government
  • Ensure employees and expatriates are aware of the laws of the government and that they comply adequately thereafter avoiding company representation of defaults.
  • Liaise with Training Unit to facilitate the needed trainings for the organisation.
Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years working experience in the HR field.

  • Create and Manage the HR databases for the division capturing the following type of people; applicants and the required documentations, recruitments in process and the required update information and/or documents, employees of the company and the required information.
  • Keep the records; documents and files relating to all staff within the division
  • Ensure all employees’ record files are properly updated with the necessary set of documents.
  • Remittances of all taxes and payroll deductions in a timely manner.
  • Participating in the preparation and deployment of payroll activities every month and ensuring all employees are paid promptly and correctly
  • Provision to staff all required processing forms when requested for; e.g., Leave Forms, Loan Forms, Medical forms, Pension forms, Tax forms, etc.
  • Establish a network of relationships with the employees and ensure that this improves efficiency across the businesses
  • Develop and implement of recruitment strategies and processes while working closely with our management team.
Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years working experience in HR or similar field.
