  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced Manager in the financial services industry who understands the finance/cost economics and dynamics of retail micro lending?
  • S/He will excel in both strategic and executional areas in order to implement initiatives to better the organization. In order to succeed, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on a range of responsibilities including hiring and training, implementing programs, and acting as the leader for the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Lead in all key business issues, including sales / Business development, customer service,
  • Manage ongoing profitability of the company, while growing customer base and expanding the scope of business.
  • Provide direct management of teams and departments under supervision, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure optimal brand visibility for the company on an ongoing basis.
  • Comply with industry and regulatory standards and expectations.
  • Hold regular briefings and strategy direction meetings with unit heads.
  • Help lead efforts to launch new programs and grow the organization
  • Ensure that an annual budget is created and followed
  • Ability to lead the career development of self and others by attracting and retaining high performing talent
  • Communicate and direct organization's conversations around priorities, goals, and organization improvement areas
  • Develop and execute business plans and strategies for business / product development and business profitability.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A degree in Business Administration or other related field.
  • An advanced degree, such as a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • 10 years or more experience in the financial services industry, with experience in credit processing across multiple segments (Retail; Payday, business loans, etc.), no less than 5 of which must be in managerial / team lead capacity, managing people and processes.
  • Experience in Microfinance.
  • A proven track record in running start-ups and steering the wheel into profitability.
Skills and Competencies:
  • The preferred candidate will be one who has vast experience in retail lending (PayDay loans, Business loans, Real estate loans, funding start-ups, etc.), in the financial services industry, with an entrepreneurial mind-set,
  • A proven track record in running start-ups and steering the wheel into profitability, and strong sales acumen.
