We are recruiting to fill the positions below:     Job Title: Care and Treatment Lead Locations: Akwa Ibom, Adamawa, Niger and Cross River States Details/Requirements

  • CAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as HIV Care and Treatment Lead – Nigeria.
  • The incumbent will be key member of the senior technical in-country team, and oversee the and implementation of care and treatment programming in Akwa Ibom, Adamawa, Niger and Cross River States in Nigeria. S/he will provide technical and operational guidance and oversight to the Care and Treatment Advisors at state, local government and site level, liaising with partners and local organizations.
  • The successful candidate will hold an MD (or international equivalent), or MPH and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of HIV-related programs for expanded care and treatment, laboratory services, and prevention.
  • The incumbent will have a demonstrated track record working on US Government-supported PEPFAR programs including program planning, monitoring and evaluation. The Care and Treatment Lead will also have experience working effectively as a part of diverse staff teams, and contributing to successful collaborations with donors, host-country ministries of health, and civil society.

    Job Title: Laboratory Advisor Locations: Akwa Ibom, and Niger States Details/Requirements
  • ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Laboratory Advisors in Akwa Ibom, and Niger States in Nigeria.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing laboratory systems, strengthening laboratory activities as well as quality management support to State teams and implementing partners. The incumbents will also oversee and provide capacity building support at the State level.
  • ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Laboratory Advisor positions by October 2019. The successful candidate will hold a Masters in Laboratory Sciences or relevant scientific field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in laboratory management, quality assurance, quality control, biosafety, document development, specimen management and use of electronic information systems within a laboratory context in resource-limited settings.
  • The incumbents will have a demonstrated track record working on US Government-supported PEPFAR programs.   • The successful candidate will hold an MD (or international equivalent), RN, MPH and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience and demonstrated expertise in the implementation of HIV and QI program activities.   • ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Senior laboratory Lead – Nigeria.
  • The incumbent will oversee the laboratory component of the RISE project in Nigeria working closely with the in-country laboratory organizations, USAID and with the Federal and State Ministries of Health in Akwa Ibom, Adamawa, Niger and Cross River States in Nigeria. S/he will support systems to ensure that laboratory samples are correctly collected, processed, and transported and that results are returned in a timely manner.
  • The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or its equivalent, a minimum of five (5) years of experience in laboratory practice in the health sector field preferably at the national level and experience with HIV- related assays.

The successful candidate will hold a Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or biological science or within a clinical or diagnostic discipline or Higher National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent and have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within a clinical or research laboratory including experience with laboratory quality control and quality assurance systems and implementation in resource-limited settings.
