Vacancy for a Small Boat Port Supervisor in a Small Boats and Jetty Facility

An existing Small Boats and Jetty facility is recruiting to fill the position below:   Job Title: Small Boat Port Supervisor Location: Nigeria Duties

• Manage safe mooring of small boats and vessels (anchoring and jetty mooring)
• Managing and supervising all operations of small Jetty facility
• Performing minor upkeep and participating in maintenance of alihull and boat systems
• Participating in cleaning and securing boats between use
• Attending to security concern for boats/jetty
• Caretaking of all marine tools, equipment and spares
• Overseeing maintenance, repair and movement of fleet of 3 small craft and one sport fishing vessel
• Tracking usage, fuel & periodic planned maintenance
• Operating boats as and when required and supervising boat drivers and small boat operations

• Experience and familiar with boat driving and operations
• Must read, write and swim
• Ability of working with necessary tools
• Familiar with safe boat practices (able to learn quickly)
• Proven attentive and proficient in handling small craft and conscientious as regards safety of boat and passengers
• Must have a firm but polite manner with a professional attitude and bearing
• Mature, Disciplined, Reliable, trustworthy, responsible and loyal
• Familiar with best mooring practices &/or willing to learn fast
• Familiar with small boat hull/systems/fittings and equipment
• Basic understanding of outboard engine operation - fuel systems, electrical systems, etc.
