A4&T was conceived in the year 2009 with the mindset of providing affordable Solar power solutions to the citizens of Nigeria. It was formed with a goal to replace generators even the smallest electricity generator (a.k.a “I beta pass my neighbour”) with Solar Power. We are recruiting to fill the positions below:   Job Title: Research and Programmes Associate Location: Lagos Responsibilities

  • Design and develop technical content on sector- and subsectoral issues and capacities in GHG /carbon emissions generation,
  • Generation of detailed data on sector generation and aggregation of emissions, project emissions potential and due diligence.
  • Conduct baseline framework for specific committing projects and potential committing investments and conduct regular entity, market or sector-related research on emission pool
  • Technical and investment plan for engaging diverse sectoral operations
  • Develop strategies on carbon accounts, fiscal incentives and global benefits for greening existing economic and other activities on entity, sectoral or industry basis for projects in the economy
  • Create public-private dialogue activities for education and investment reporting in line with Global best practice
  • Develop annual strategic emission reduction campaign programme activity
  • Work with Communication Consultants on developing and executing Communication Strategy for the platform.
  • Develop and implement seminars, dialogues and conference participation
  • Prepare annual Technical Reports.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of a B.Sc / M.Sc Degree in numerate areas - Economics or related (Resource Economics), Statistics, etc.
  • Sound understanding of green business and products or services (financial, manufacturing, energy, etc).
      Job Title: Administrative Assistant Location: Lagos Responsibilities
  • Scheduling CEO activities – meetings, engagement, etc
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining records and databases (documentations) as appropriate.
  • Organizing special functions and social events including media and publicity activities
  • Preparing correspondence, documentation, or presentation materials
  • Monitoring and maintaining office equipment and inventory supplies; orders replacement supplies as needed
  • Updating office policies and procedures
  • Scheduling and updating company calendar
  • Preparing reports on expenses, office budgets, and other expenditures
  • Supporting department managers, staff, and CEO
  • Preparing travel arrangements for CEO,
  • Coordinating building and maintenance issues for general repair (heating and air conditioning, security, etc.) and updating (carpet cleaning, painting, etc.).
Qualifications and Experience
  • BSc or HND
  • Written and verbal communication +time management skills
  • Self-directed, courteous disposition, organized and multi-tasks + fast-paced capability
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars a must
      Job Title: Business Development Associate, Carbon Location: Lagos Responsibilities
  • Determine and produce key business strategies
  • Implement emission trading, certification credit claims process. Set business goals and targets; identify new and related business opportunities - including industry carbon pool, projects, services and going rates.
  • Data Aggregation. Support Research in building emission product baselines on individual entities, sector and industry; collate, report and update periodic business emission profile data as well project and investment listings.
  • Corporate and Government Engagement. Develop outreaches to entities, businesses and organizations (public and private) and follow up new business opportunities; {Identify and engage with appropriate contact in organisations and set up business meetings.}
  • Identify project leads, pitch listing and investment engagements and ensure investment and listing closures with new clients i.e. generate leads and cold call prospective customers. Draw up Client contracts/MOUs
  • Engage brokers, committers and project carbon auditors. Participate in price determination, scheduling and mobilize project listings.
  • Develop promotional and communication strategy and activities with Programmes; maintain a good working and communication relationship with new and prospective entities - businesses /companies/ contacts; conduct regular market research develop marketing literature.
  • Business Planning, presentations and Reports for management
  • Produce annual, quarterly and monthly activity plans and reports.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum B. Sc / M. Sc Degree in Numerate areas - Business Management or related, Statistics
  • Understanding of climate change, sustainable /green business and products or services (financial, manufacturing, energy, etc).
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in business development role
  • Skills: communication, leadership, presentation, Computing and negotiation; critical thinking and solution provision
