Axios Foundation Nigeria (AFN) is a Not-for-Profit Organization dedicated to increasing access to quality Healthcare and building local capacity in the health sector in Nigeria. We are recruiting to fill the positions below:   Job Title: Warehouse Officer Location: Calabar, Cross River Duties and ResponsibilIties

  • Responsible for the receipt and dispatching of stock according to standard procedures
  • Responsible for checking and confirming picked and packed stock orders
  • Responsible for identifying damaged, expired, short dated, returned stock and report to the Warehouse Manager
  • Responsible for performing stock count
  • Responsible for reporting and documenting incidents within 24 hours
  • Performing all warehouse operations in accordance with BBS guidelines
  • Providing oversight for vendor engaged for NISRN sample transportation in Cross River State
  • Providing supervision for the casual workers engaged
  • Loading and offloading and other activities
  • Any other responsibility as maybe assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Superior.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Medical Sciences
  • 2-4 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of resupply inventory management software
  • Supply chain management experience
  • Ability to work with International organizations, government officials, non-governmental organizations and the private sector
  • Intermediate computer skills to include the use of MS Office packages and Inventory management software
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities and work independently
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work long hours.
      Job Title: Warehouse Manager Location: Calabar, Cross River Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the general operation of Warehouse
  • Responsible for Commodities Management, Receipts, Issues, Storage and timely schedule and staging of commodities for distribution to health facilities
  • Responsible for Weekly, Monthly and Bl-Monthly generation of Commodities Status Reports
  • Responsible for the overall Inventory Management by working with the Warehouse Officers and Warehouse Assistant Ensures accurate entries of all transactions manually and electronically via Warehouse Inventory Management Software (M-Supply).
  • Work collaboratively with Supply Chain & Quality Management Officer, Logistics Advisors and State Government officials on warehouse operations, management and sustainability.
  • Shall participate in distribution committee meetings for finalization of distribution plans and schedules
  • Support inventory management by working with the Inventory team and the IT Support Officer in daily monitoring of M-supply entries and functionality and generate alerts to management for decisions
  • Responsible for writing, review and strict adherence of Standard Operating Procedures in the Warehouse
  • Responsible for the management of all Utilities, Equipments, Housekeeping and funds for the warehouse operations
  • Manage and supervise the warehouse operations staff to perform their best work
  • Any other responsibility as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Bachelor's Degree in any Sciences
  • 4-7 years postgraduate experience
  • Warehouse operation experience
  • Master's in Public Health or Supply Chain would be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics
  • Capacity to support health systems strengthening
  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills to include the use of MS Office packages and inventory management software
  • Knowledge of mSupply or any WMS software
  • Ability to multitask set priorities and work independently
  • Good communication skills and Interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in written & oral English.
      Job Title: Warehouse Operations Manager Location: Sokoto Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages all stock related reports from the axial warehouses in Awka, Calabar Gombe & Sokoto, to the client (GHSC-PSM) by ensuring correctness of stock quantities and integrity of data
  • Follow up on all Quality Management System Issues from the warehouses and ensure CAPA implementation in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the general operations of the Sokoto Warehouse
  • Review all weekly and monthly stock reports from each warehouse, resolve any discrepancy thereof in a timely manner before sharing with the client
  • Coordinate all responses from the warehouses to client queries on stock Issues, by carrying out quality checks for correctness and promptness to the satisfaction of the client
  • Carry out review of weekly temperature and humidity reports from the warehouse for compliance, identify excursions and raise NCs to address them
  • Review quarterly self-Inspection from each of the warehouses and consolidate the reports by highlighting open issues for management review as well as follow up on all the open issues to ensure full closure
  • Supervises all warehousing and distribution activities at the Sokoto warehouse to ensure that delivery time lines are met and client KPls achieved
  • Prepare a monthly performance report for each of the warehouses based on Client's KPI metrics
  • Responsible for the overall maintenance of the warehouse and ensure the facility is always at audit ready state
  • Responsible for the adherence of Standard Operating Procedures in the Warehouse
  • Responsible for the management of all Utilities, Equipment, Housekeeping and funds for the warehouse operations
  • Any other responsibility as maybe assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • Master's in Supply Chain or Public Health would be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Warehouse operation experience
  • Supply chain management experience
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics (warehousing & distribution)
  • Knowledge of mSupply or any WMS software
  • Experience in Quality Assurance functions as it relates to GDP
  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills to include the use of MS Office packages
  • Capacity to support health systems strengthening
  • intermediate/Advanced Computer Skills to include the use of MS Office packages and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities and work Independently
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in written and oral English.
