  • Working within the Business Development Team, you will be responsible for Channel and Wholesale accounts, developing our channel and wholesale business, selling additional products and services through these mediums to maximize revenue, minimise churn and adhere to sales processes including the use of approved applications (SAGE, and Share point).
  • The Senior Channel Account Manager will work closely with the Solution Architect, Product Development, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and members of other teams as required from time to time.  You will build trust, value others, communicate effectively and politely with mutual respect, maintain relationships that meet company core value.
Key Accountability The channel & wholesale account Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of channels and wholesale sector as well as:
  • Responsible for Sales/Sales Management for both new business development and management and growth of business in existing clients.
  • Identify ways to increase revenue share within existing accounts.
  • Responsible for all client communication, conflict resolution and compliance on deliverables.
  • Ensures that proper procedures are followed to meet quality standards and maintain account profitability.
  • Monitor account performance and ensure that the set targets are met.
  • Prepare necessary reports and maintain such reports in Sage database and SharePoint
  • Approves invoices and is responsible for account collections.
  • Provides two way communications between client and VBA Team.
  • Maintain strength of the VBA image and quality in front of the customer.
  • Lead planning and development of customer sales strategies to develop accounts in very close cooperation with the Line Manager where applicable.
  • Works with global and regional third parties & partners to identify & qualify new opportunities
  • Work together with Vodafone Carrier Service/Vodacom Global Account Manager & National Account Manager to develop action plans to ensure account strategies are executed upon
  • Work with relevant Vodafone Carrier Service/Vodacom Global Account Manager & National Account Manager to agree sales strategy and responsibilities within each account.
  • Work together with Vodafone Carrier Service/Vodacom Global Account Manager & National Account Manager to develop action plans to ensure account strategies are executed upon
  • Develop relationships with customers for future development.
  • Develop relevant High Level Value Propositions.
Qualification Requirements
  • You must have a degree preferably in B.Com/Business, Marketing, Computer Science, IT or its equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years’ post NYSC experience in Channel sales, solution selling and relationship management or enterprise solution selling within a telecom sector.

  • Working within the Business Development Team, you will be responsible for managing Key accounts, sale of new business, growth of existing clients and the reduction of churn.
  • The job holder will develop relationships with customers for future development; maintain strength of Vodacom image and quality in front of Customer.
  • The Account Manager will work closely with the Solution Architect, Product Development, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and members of other teams as required from time to time.
  • You will build trust, value others, communicate effectively and politely with mutual respect, maintain relationships that meet company core value.
Key Accountability
  • Identify sales prospects
  • Prospects aggressively and develops new customers through networking, referrals, company lead generation and cold calling and follows up appropriately to obtain appointments.
  • Manage the customer relationship for assigned accounts and develop revenue stream
  • Be both proactive and reactive to the customer’s needs and actively manage/monitor their performance (conduct and facilitate regular client visits.)
  • Monitor account performance and ensure that the set targets are met.
  • Prepare necessary reports (RFP’s, Metrics, Periodic Business Reviews) and maintain in company database. Provide monthly reporting of revenue intake and closed sales to BDG General Manager.
  • Identify new business and ways to increase revenue share of within existing accounts.
  • Monitor account performance and ensure that the set targets are met.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction by developing and maintaining excellent relationships and effective communication channels.
  • Maintain complete customer files and maintain appropriate customer and prospect information into the company contact management database
Qualification Requirements
  • You must have a degree from any reputable organisation with a minimum of 3-5 years post NYSC sales working experience, successful key accounts/enterprise solution selling preferably in the telecoms industry.
  • Experience in managing strategic business across public and Enterprise sectors will be of advantage

  • Demonstrated success in networking and relationship management with a deep knowledge of mobile and fixed enterprise business in sales, business development, operations and technical sales is also desirable.
