The Lagos State Ministry of Health (LSMoH) is a Principal Recipient (PR) for Integrated Global Fund Grant comprising of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Resilient Sustainable Systems for Health (RSSH). As the Principal Recipient, the Ministry of Health Is legally responsible for the management of the integrated grant ensuring achievement of the programmatic results and accountability of the grant financial resources. To fulfill the mandate of the Principal Recipient, the Ministry of Health has established the Grant Management Unit (GMU) to carry out the functions of the PR. The Grant Management Unit works with other implementing units (TB, YIV,RSSH) within the LSMOH, Sub-Recipients (SRs) and other implementing partners in executing its mandate and ensuring that the grant is managed and implemented in compliance with grant agreement signed between the Global Fund and the Principal Recipient. The Grant Management Unit, Lagos State Ministry of Health is recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: X-Ray Counselor Location: Lagos Duration of Contract: 12 months (January - December 2020) Reporting to: STBLCP/GMU Specific objectives and Duties
  • Provide counselling to patients and their household contacts on disease infection treatment for contacts, treatment adherence, side effects and infection control. -
  • Report to designated supervisor on a daily basis
  • Carry out research activities as required by the program
  • Conduct household visits when required
  • Assisting in data entry
  • Screen TB patients for co-morbid conditions and screen household contacts of TB patients
  • Support other staff members of the team when required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality guidelines regarding at clients, conversations and referrals
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Ensure that data entry Is completed ma timely manner
  • Provide regular follow up to patients and their household contacts,
  • Provide counselling and support on Tuberculosis ass communicable disease to both positive and non-positive TB patients.
  • Provide a safe environment for people to discuss issues
  • Maintaining record of the patients seen or counselled.
  • Perform other related duties as required
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of National Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology and other related discipline.
  • Good attitude, self-motivated and ability to work well individually as well as na learn V
  • A two years experience in any of radiography programs
  • A license according the state laws
  • Experience with anon-governmental organization will bean added advantage.
  • Good computer stilts, including familiarity and comfort with using MS Excel.

Job Title: Radiographer Location: Lagos Duration of Contract: 12 months (January - December 2020) Reporting to: STBLCP/GMU Specific objectives and Duties
  • Obtain x-ray images of the patients through the process of radiographic imaging along with proper diagnosis.
  • Carry out Chest x.rays on the mobile x-ray vans
  • Liaise with the Site supervisor and field team on site to ensure smooth workflow and maximize system efficiency throughout chest x-ray screening activities.
  • Ensure all adequate safety measure are taken to avoid any undue exposure to radiation
  • Ensure proper handling and use of x-ray equipment, and related software
  • Ensure all individuals (coming in for an x-ray)are managed, prepared and guided adequately
  • Ensure that data (such as patient IDs, demographics, CAD scores etc.) is entered into the system
  • Ensure that there is no mishandling of equipment and accessories and that all start up and shutdown protocols are followed.
  • Support other staff members of the team when required
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality guidelines regarding all clients, conversations and referrals

Job Title: Data Officer Location: Lagos Duration of Contract: 12 months (January - December 2020) Reporting to: STBLCP/GMU Specific objectives and Duties
  • To ensure timely and accurate entry of project data
  • Perform daily data cleaning and quality control checks
  • To ensure neat and accurate filing of data forms
  • Ensure accurate and efficient fracking of forms
  • Resolve data queries raised with relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain strict standards of patient confidentiality and access patient-identifiable information,
  • Search for testing results within the National Health Laboratory Services online web portal.
  • Assist in meeting reporting deadlines for the donor.
  • Assist with other project related tasks if required.
  • Support other staff members of the team when required
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Perform other related duties as required
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of National Diploma in Statistic, Mathematics, Computer Science and other related discipline.
  • Good computer skills, including familiarity and proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility across a range of field arid office misted tasks
  • Good attitude, self-motivated and ability to work well individually as well as in steam.
  • Minimum of two years’ work experience.
  • Previous employment as a Data Capturer highly preferred
  • Experience working with, TB screening or other health programs
  • Knowledge of TB and HIV
  • Experience with a non-governmental organization wit been added advantage.
Job Title: Driver Location: Lagos Duration of Contract: 12 months (January - December 2020) Reporting to: STBLCP/GMU Specific Objectives and Duties
  • Provide reliable and secure driving services to the Lagos State Ministry of Health as required.
  • Ensure cost savings through, amongst others proper use and timely maintenance of daily van logs. Ensure properday-4o- day maintenance of the assigned X-ray van
  • Report any mechanical fault in good time for repairs to be carried out and cross check to see that the repairs were well carried out
  • At all times, make sure that copies of vehicle insurance including office directory, map of the city/country, first aid kit and necessary spare parts are available.
  • Learn and comply with all security requirements, when driving and using the X-ray van
  • Ensure that all immediate measures required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents Support the LSMOH by providing administrative and clerical support as requested including in preparing copying collating binding filling and distributing documents, mail and notifications as instructed Provide logistics and administrative support during activities as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications
  • Secondary Education, relevant trade test, and valid driver’s license (Class B or E).
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience as driver
  • Sound knowledge of the federal republic of Nigeria driving requirements
  • Must be registered with the Lagos State Drivers institute.
  • Demonstrated skills in carrying out minor vehicle repairs when necessary Must be able to communicate in English Language
  • Have-an appreciable understanding of the Lagos roads and the terrain.
  • Experience with a non-governmental organization will be an added advantage
