Cost Accountant in the Hospitality Sector

Svelte Global Company - Our client in the hospitality sector is looking to hire for the position of:

Job Title: Cost Accountant Location: Lagos

Job Description

Forecast and plan future purchasing costs according to fiscal needs
Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, procedures and processes
Determine the costs and efficiency of company purchasing activities and business operations
Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory consumption, production loss etc.
Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
Interpret financial information regarding cost improvements for management

Required Skills

Computer literacy, Advanced MS Excel in particular
In-depth understanding of IFRS
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with any ERP, especially Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Required Qualification

Qualified Chartered Accountant is an advantage
BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant numerate discipline
Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst or similar role
