Job Description
  • Manage and optimise, through 3PL service providers, all KC warehousing and distribution network facilities supporting the business to ensure KC’s safety and compliance objectives are met and the respective business’s service levels and cost expectations are fulfilled.
What this person will do:
  • Inspect and manage the physical conditions of KC warehouse assets and KC leased equipment, ensuring correct and timely testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary.
  • Coordinate all warehousing operations in line with transport optimisation objectives, mill logistics requirements and business support plans.
  • Develop & maintain regular, effective and proactive communication processes with service providers and internal, external customer to ensure prevention of service issues and rapid solution of any problem or opportunities
  • Provide analysis and measurement of actual cost and service achieved.
  • Manage and oversee the Local and export Bulk/ Fine pick distribution centre’s operations with 3PL to achieve budgeted distribution costs and targeted service levels.
  • Ensure implementation of all KC distribution centre policies and procedures regarding Financial Controls, Security, Inventory Management and Safety.
  • Optimise operational design through liaison between 3PL management team and customers. Determine and implement best solution model as defined by cost and service.
  • Manage and oversee distribution centre’s safety, security and risk management programs and activities in line with KC requirements.
  • Monitor and manage business flows (inbound and outbound volumes) and coordinate operational plans and operational capacities.
Requirements Good to have:

Job Description
  • Acts as cover for any other operator when required.
  • Capture data regarding machine waste and delay and communicates this to the MOP for documentation and to effectively use this information for analysis and decision making on preventative actions.
  • Perform modular process health checks in-line with centerlining guidelines.
  • Control material usage to minimise waste and material cost
  • Knows and actively participate in all work and repairs which are carried out in his/her sector by the support teams
  • Reports and informs team leader of the maintenance and improvement required of his sector.
  • During shift changes, communicates to the incoming operator all new occurrences, repairs, process changes and materials issues.
  • Complies with all safety rules, procedures and works instructions.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and hygiene in the department and follow 5S Housekeeping principles.
  • Checks that raw materials that enter his/her sector correspond with the required raw material of the product manufactured and return raw materials not in use after a change of grade and/or product.

Job Description
  • Track profitability of all distributors so as to ensure the sales mix within each of the distributor’s basket is in line with the overall pricing strategy and in line with the approved issued mandates.
  • Enable product knowledge with all wholesaler/distributor sales forces and identify opportunities to get the best out of the wholesaler/distributor sales teams through individual performance management and team segmentation.
  • Develop and implement incentives and sales promotions that deliver to agreed sales and distribution targets in assigned territory.
  • Ensure that the company at all times has the right product offer and materials in the market place relevant to its competitors and specific to the market and consumers’ needs.
  • Ensure strategic opportunities and objectives by Channel and by Category/brand are incorporates into the Customer Business plans.

Minimum Requirements
  • As per original plan we have 4 SDEs in North for current year, but with the exit of one SDE few months back, we are now left with 3 SDEs.
  • The SDE now being recruited as a replacement for the former one, will cover the states of Kano, Katina and Jigawa.
  • US$ ISV projection/ month from this SDE will be circa $100,000/Month which will contribute to North Revenue, thus rolling up to Nigeria National Revenue objective.
  • Also key to note there is no Customer Manager in North currently and hence essential to have all 4 SDEs functioning effectively in order to achieve set objective.
  • University degree or equivalent with at least 2 years commercial experience in the FMCG sector.
  • Possession of a Driver’s Licence is a must

The Individual

  • Commerce Degree, 10 years job experience, which should include excellent understanding of and experience in Marketing and Customer Management (Channel, Trade Marketing and/or Account Management); as well as strong commercial acumen.
