We are recruiting to fill the position of:   Job Title: Content Developer and Editor Location: Lagos
Role Summary
  • He/she is to work directly under the supervision of the business strategist in order to align all contents to business goals.
  • A Content Developer must be able to communicate with a variety of different people to create effective content. Regardless of the type of content, the goal of said content is to ultimately generate more business for a company.
  • INITS is looking for an ambitious and energetic Content Developer and Editor to join our team! As a Content Developer at our company, you are responsible for developing a company’s content strategy, as well as creating its deliverables. “Content “ is a broad term that can refer to blog posts, static web copy, podcasts, video content, design content, proposal documents, and other company documents.
  • The content developer should work well with business management, project / product management, legal and product designers to come up with content as the needs arise.
Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills, organizational skills, with a problem-solving attitude and as a self-starter who works both independently and as a collaborative team player
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Team-focused with the ability to network and facilitate strong working relationships between partners
  • Previous working experience as communications specialist for 3 years
  • B.Sc in Public Relations, Communications or similar relevant field.
  • Excellent portfolio with proven track record of successful project management.

  • You must be a creative thinker to conceptualize content, and then have the organizational mind to create a pragmatic plan of action.

  • Advanced knowledge of HTML
Editorial Skills:
  • Plan the content of digital media and publications according to the publication’s style and editorial policy
  • Develop story and content ideas while being mindful of the audience
  • Allocate space for the text, photos, and illustrations that make up a story
  • Approve final versions submitted by staff.
  • Read content and correct for errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar
  • Rewrite copy to make it easier for readers to understand
  • Verify facts using standard reference sources
  • Evaluate submissions from writers to decide what to publish
  • Work with writers to help their ideas and stories succeed
