Unique Classy Food and Confectioners Limited is a modern restaurant situated in Surulere area of Lagos. We make African dishes, and a variety of delicacies.

We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Experienced Cook Location: Lagos

Job Summary

The ideal candidate for this position must have previous experience preparing African cuisines, enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment and is capable of taking directions well and multi-task effectively.

Responsibilities

Check food and ingredients for freshness.
Arrange and garnish dishes.
Work well under pressure and within the time limit.
Ensure that kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
Help lead and inspire other kitchen staff.
Wow our guests with amazing dishes
Experienced in various African dishes.
Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy.
Prepares food to the specifications of the client.
Prepares food before the arrival of guests.
Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.
Manages other employees in the kitchen
Prepare awesome meals for our customers.
Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.

Requirements

Ability to work in a team
Very good communication skills
Excellent physical condition and stamina
High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage.
2+ years’ experience as a Cook in the restaurant industry
Proven experience as a cook
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
