Financial Controller at Ladgroup Limited

Ladgroup Limited is a model company in the Agro allied sector in Nigeria, dedicated to marketing and processing of Agro commodities. The company started business in 1972 by exporting agricultural produce, namely Ginger, Sheanuts, Coffee and Gum Arabic. Ladgroup became highly successful in exports and was the largest exporter of Sheanuts and Cocoa in the 70’s and 80’s, winning two major awards from the Nigerian Export Import Bank (NEXIM) namely “Best Exporter of the Year” and “Best Cocoa Exporter”.

We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Financial Controller Location: Ikenne, Ogun

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data.
The production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and maintenance of a comprehensive set of controls and budget.
The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.

Responsibilities

Month-end closing
Financial reporting
Tax remittance, compliance and reporting
Financial audits
Tax audits
Assist with financial planning
Bank and cash management
Financial accounting
Oversee Budget forecasting and cash flow management

Qualifications

Proficiency with current financial software
Possession of a recognized professional accounting qualification
Understanding of GAAP and IFRS standards.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years experience in a manufAgro-allied industry.
