We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Lagos Department: Works and Services

Summary

We are seeking a skilled, reliable, efficient quantity surveyor to join our growing organization. In this position, you will estimate the costs of construction projects, working with contractors, builders, and architects to provide the most cost-effective plans that meet high-quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
Allocate work to subcontractors
Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders
Understand the implications of health and safety regulations
Advice on the maintenance costs of specific buildings.
Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
Keeping track of materials and order levels, ordering more when required.
Analyze outcomes and write detailed progress reports
Advise on a procurement strategy

Educational Qualifications and Requirements

B.Sc or HND in Quantity Surveying, Management or similar.
Membership in relevant body is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years cognate working experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

A practical and logical mind and a methodical way of thinking
Strong numeracy and financial management skills
Negotiation and team work skills
Ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
Ability to motivate and lead those on site.
Sound knowledge of construction
Ability to organize, plan, and strategize
