We are currently building an intra-Africa and China-Africa service network to support air, road and sea transportation with the aim to be the leading diversified integrated logistics solution provider between China and Africa. Speedaf offers a variety of products and services with value added service to cover different business or personal scenarios for our customers. Since our launch, Speedaf has continued to expand its global network, developing products, improving customer experience, and introducing IT technologies and equipment to realize automatic operations.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
 
  Job Title: Logistics Operations Manager Location: Lagos
Background

Job Summary
  • We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager in Express or Logistics Company
  • The person will be charged with the overall supervision of our on-site operations, analyzing data, making reports, managing stations, and standardizing distribution centers, among other responsibilities.
Job Description
  • The Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for a high-profile & fast-paced logistics operation in assigned area
  • Facilitate the provision of exceptional customer service, by pro-actively identifying, and speedily responding to customer/client needs
  • Manage Route Planning.
  • Support in managing the lifecycle of driverТs employment, from sourcing, on-boarding, training and driver retention.
  • Brief & liaise with drivers on a daily basis.
  • Handle relevant compliance duties.
  • In charge of the management Fleet Management, distribution centers and stations.
  • Be actively ready to supervise on-site operation;
  • Responsible for the communication and implementation of various rules of the district and detailing the development process of the standardization of distribution center operations;
  • Responsible for summarizing and analyzing the data in the transfer process, formulating specific improvement plans, and reporting to the person in charge of the transfer sites;
  • Support the overall planning of transfer batches, operation processes, site layout and equipment arrangements of transfer sites;
  • Complete other tasks assigned by senior management.
Candidate Qualifications and Experience
  • Must have at least Bachelor's Degree in relevant area of study.
  • Related certifications or advanced qualifications in Logistics / Supply chain management is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience a well-known logistic or supply chain company's operations department, with at least 3 years of managerial experience.
  • Age: 30-40 years before December 2020
  • 5.аааа Must have performed a similar role as a Logistics Operations Manager or Head of Transport ideally within fast paced distribution
Candidate Requirements:
  • Must reside in Lagos
  • Able to deliver a high quality "white glove service" on behalf of a prestigious client.
  • Front-foot & hands-on leadership style - this role is very much a hands-on & full-on transport management role.
  • Able to liaise from shop-floor to management level.
  • Multi-site logistics management experience is highly beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office software, particularly excel
  • Desire for the express dispatch,
  • Good communication skills and coordination ability.
  • Good interpersonal relation and managerial skills
  • Self-motivated, structured, quality-driven, and able to take initiative

Job Description
  • Undertaking the relevant objectives and tasks of the HQ sales department, in charge of the implementation of the sales strategy and action plans in the relevant region, supporting the decision making of headquarters.

Job Title: IT Specialist Location: Lagos
Job Summary
  • We are looking for an I.T. Specialist to provide front-line technical-support services to our business and staff pertaining to various technical issues and needs relating to hardware, software, and IT services.
Responsibilities
  • Cooperate with other departments to deal with the daily exceptions, handle business requirements, fix system bugs, and communicate with HQ IT for urgent issue handling if necessary.
  • Support eCommerce business development, provide IT API solution to realize information flow connection between eCommerce and Speedaf, including order placing and tracking
  • Be responsible for updating and revising the national IT system training materials, improving the training methods and system.
  • According to network development plan and customer needs, formulate IT standard operating procedures.
  • Carrying out scheduled tasks, including backups, daily checks and administration.
  • Escalating necessary incidents within the Infrastructure to the IT team Lead and management.
  • Responding to and logging user’s requests and faults and providing first line technical support over internal core technologies and services.
  • Keeping users informed of any IT related issues that may affect workflow.
  • Communicate with third party service providers to raise and resolve issues.
  • Deal with IT system problems and support Chinese employees to develop new business and provide IT solution to meet customer demand
  • Providing feedback on any issues faced with troubleshooting e.g. updating documentation, configuration of user set ups, in order to help improve internal processes.
  • Monitoring and updating our IT Service Management tools, and processes and diagnosing and resolving hardware and software faults
  • Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
Requirements Experience and Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in providing first-line exceptional IT support in a business environment.
  • Possessing any I.T. Certifications would be considered a plus
  • Solid working knowledge and familiarity with software and server solutions.
Competences and Attributes:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; communicating to all levels within an organization.
  • Age range: 24-35 years old
  • Must have completed NYSC
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and documentation capabilities
  • High energy, motivated, open-minded with the ability to resolve problems efficiently and effectively
  • Self-motivated and must have a positive attitude to work, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
