Maventeq Systems Limited - Our client, a multinational Oil and Gas company in Nigeria is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions below:
   
Job Title: Senior Piping, Valves and Vessels Engineer Location: Rivers
Job Responsibilities
  • Carry out preliminary, basic and detailed engineering studies in-house.
  • Review and comments on engineering deliverables produced by engineering services agreement contractors, OEMs and engineering houses.
  • Prepares piping general arrangement drawings, designs, datasheets, specifications, calculations and MTOs.
  • Coordinates the deliverables of other disciplines within the Engineering and Commissioning Team
  • Coordinates the activity of CADD designers for the execution of the drawings.
  • Prepares and checks isometrics, support drawings/calculations, support lists and requisitions.
  • Carry out static and dynamic stress analysis calculations and checks with CAESAR 2 FEA tool.
  • Carry out vibration analysis and checks with CAESAR 2 FEA tool.
  • Reads and interprets facility engineering drawings, designs and make necessary modifications or recommendations.
  • Interfaces with vendors and OEMs on technical matters related with engineering modifications/design.
  • Draws up and cross-check relevant procedures, international standards and TOTAL General Specifications.
  • Follows-up Purchase Orders to ensure timely approval.
  • Check that the design is developed in line with the Pre-Project and the statement of requirements and in accordance with the COMPANY specifications and rules.
  • Ensures effective and timely response to technical queries in compliance with set standards, company specifications and safety procedures.
  • Ensures effective design studies for infrastructures produced by contractors.
  • Participates in the auditing of facilities engineering design contractors.
Job Requirements
  • Certified Mechanical Engineer
  • B.Eng. (Mechanical) with a minimum of 10 years' experience in design of oil & gas installations.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Piping biased but with some experience of static mechanical equipment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Use of Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, AutoCAD, PDMS, CAESAR 2, Auto pipe, Inventor.
Job Context:
  • Standard office hours, 5 days a week.
  • Based in Port Harcourt with periodic site visits to onshore gas plants and offshore installations.
     
Job Title: Senior Process & Safety Engineer Location: Rivers
Job Responsibilities
  • Check and review the conceptual, or pre-study site modification request dossier issued by Field Operations for Process and Safety viability.
  • Develop the safety and process engineering input to the basic and detailed engineering studies of the site modification or small project.
  • For studies performed externally by Engineering Contractors review and comment on process deliverables such as:
    • Process design basis, Process Description, Operating Philosophies & Manuals
    • Facilities sizing and document studies with Report or Memo.
    • Heat and Material Balances, Utility balances, Line sizing, PFDs, PIDs, ESD Logic Diagrams, Equipment List, Equipment and Instrument Datasheets
    • Review layouts
    • Comment technical bids for Process aspects.
    • Participate in developing all safety-related modifications to existing facilities and corresponding engineering documents (P&IDs, ESD and Fire and Gas logic Diagrams, Safety Concept, Active and Passive Fire Fighting, Fire and Gas detection, Evacuation and Escape Route, Hazardous area classification, Safety area layout, Flare radiation and capacity, PSVs, HIPS,) Support the coordination with Corporate Safety Engineer for safety related impact of modifications.
  • Provide safety engineering support on new facilities
  • Participate in PTR / SPOT / HAZOP / HAZID / Safety review
  • Participate in steady-state Flow Assurance calculations in pipelines when required by a project or study (using PRO II /US-14 software).
  • Give assistance to JV Assets Operations teams in equipment, valves or line capacity check whenever required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external Regulations, Procedures and Specifications including HSE
  • Perform review of Vendor documentation during Equipment Requisition phase of Studies.
Job Context
  • Standard office hours, 5 days a week.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (Upper Second Class) in Chemical or Technical Safety Engineering
  • At least 10 years experience as Process Engineer or Technical Safety Engineer in the oil & gas industry, preferably in engineering design companies.
  • Professional experience: > 10 years.
  • Proficiency in process simulations using Pro II, Flaresim, Pipenet, etc.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
     
Job Title: Senior Project Engineer - Civil Works Location: Rivers
Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure that civil works are safely executed to the required project drawings and specifications.
  • To coordinate the implementation of project management for the assigned projects starting from project sanction until hand over to Field Operation.
  • To coordinate each stage of the project in collaboration with the relevant parties and ensure respect of the project requirements, budget and milestone. This shall include to monitor and control closely CONTRACTOR activities and propose the mitigation actions for any nonconformity or slippage (technical, budget, schedule).
  • To propose the organization for the execution of the project and manage the organization of the assigned project/s.
  • To ensure the availability of the approved contractual documentation, approved budget and ensure the implementation as per requirement.
  • In collaboration with C&P, to manage, monitor, control all required contractual process until recommendation to award. This shall include ensuring the recommendation is made in the best technical and commercial terms.
  • To manage the preparation of any site work and manage the execution.
  • To manage the interfaces with the relevant parties including with the external parties (NAPIMS, DPR, etc.) in collaboration with PAR Department.
  • Ensure the respect of approval requirements for each stage of the project with the partners / regulators in collaboration with PAR Department.
  • To promote innovation and the cost reduction solutions for all line of activities.
  • To prepare and expedite the required report of the project including for the purpose of the interfaces. This shall include provision of all relevant information required for project reporting.
  • To be responsible for the issuance of project close out report and return of experience for project archive.
  • To carry out any other duties / projects may be assigned to him / her by the hierarchy
Job Requirements
  • Engineering background with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction of Oil & Gas Civil installations and project management.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Job Context:
  • Resident - Standard office hours, 5 days a week.
  • Port Harcourt office with possible mission to PROJECT premises (onshore / offshore / in the country / outside the country)
     
Job Title: Civil Works Site Supervisor Location: Rivers
Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure that civil works are safely executed to the required project drawings and specifications
  • Ensure project QA/QC (quality assurance and quality control) measures are met
  • Ensure that materials for construction are of the required quality
  • Review and inspect concrete mix designs for concrete trial mixes
  • Assist in developing checklist for site works and laboratory testing activities
  • Review of contractor's project deliverables e.g. ITP, Work Method Statement, QA/QC Plan, etc.
  • Perform site and laboratory inspection/supervision for concrete cube preparation and workability test
  • Perform site and laboratory inspection/supervision for classification and strength test for road subgrade, subbase and base material
  • Verify calibration status of third-party laboratory testing devices and equipment
  • Assist in developing concrete track register for all concrete compressive strength tests results
  • Report Non conformances (NCR) to job standard and specifications and ensure any observed NCR reports are promptly closed out
  • Compile punch list items and ensure prompt close out before final hand over of facility to asset owner
  • Verify that necessary documentations are completed before site mobilization
  • Ensure that valid PTW is available and validated for the job daily
  • Verify contractor's equipment mobilized to site are those pre-mobilized before use on silo
  • Prepare daily report of the project status with details of personnel, material and equipment on site.
  • Review / updating of WBS in line with work progress.
  • Analyze data / information generated on completed projects as a basis for improvement on future jobs.
Job Context
  • Rotational: 28 x 28 Days.
  • OML 58 location and other Onshore locations with occasional work within Port Harcourt office.
Job Requirements
  • Engineering background with a minimum of 5 years experience in construction of Oil & Gas installations.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
