Job Title: Electrical Trainer / Assesor Reference No: 2020-16331 Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Contract: International Contract Contractual hours: Full time Reports To: Training Manager
Job Purpose
  • Deliver (Discipline) training to enable a common high level of competence of apprentices, technicians, supervisors, specialists and graduate engineers.
  • Responsible for the implementation and compliance of the (Discipline) Engineering and Maintenance Team Competence assurance system across the Spie business in all assets.
  • Support line managers in identifying needs and ensuring these needs are met in a consistent and cost effective manner.
Requirements
  • Discipline Engineering and Maintenance Trainer is guiding and influencing:
  • 10 -30 Maintenance technicians/Foreman
  • 5 -10 Graduates and Engineers
  • External bodies such as ECITB, C&G & Government bodies
  • Further Dimensions:
  • Maintenance discipline support
Special features:
  • Engineering Trainer may be required to work across all assets within the Spie Nigeria business
  • Close working relationships with the HR and L&D teams
  • Understand full L&D service to ensure effective, aligned and consistent L&D service
  • Excellent relationships with Training staff and Company Management
  • Understand Site Systems, Site Standards and working practices
Profile
  • Up to 5 years’ experience as a supervisor in an manufacturing environment
  • Qualified A1 Assessor or D33/32 or L&D9
  • Qualified V1 Verifier or D34 or L&D11
  • Background in (Discipline) Maintenance activities is essential
  • Excellent planning and coordinating Skills
  • High level of knowledge of Site operations
  • Strong communication and networking skills across a wide level in the organization and external bodies
  • Understand HSE policies and Procedures
Candidate Criteria Minimum level of experience required:
  • 6 years or more
Required authorisations
  • Qualified A1 Assessor or D33/32 or L&D9
  • Qualified V1 Verifier or D34 or L&D11
Languages:
  • English (E-Native or bilingual proficiency)

Job Title: ICSS / PLC Supervisor Reference No: 2019-14438 Location: Offshore in Nigeria Contract: International Contract Contractual hours: Full time
Job Description
  • Manages interventions using the CMIMS and work packs provided by the planning team,
  • Reviews all intervention reports in the CMIMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the detailed technical
  • reports related to his field,
  • Monitors (and in certain plant – Operates) the functioning of any equipment placed under his responsibility,
  • Performs trouble shooting in the ICSS, PLC, etc.
  • Follows up the Parameter values and alarms in the concerned systems for condition monitoring purposes,
  • Controls and applies inhibits in the systems as directed and controlled by COMPANY rules and procedures.
  • Maintains an accurate and auditable log of all system faults and inhibits (Short term and long term)
  • Takes part in daily, weekly and coordination meetings on SITE,
  • Ensures that the transfer of knowledge by mentoring occurs properly within his teams and actively participates in this
  • himself, leading others by his example,
  • Manages and Coaches/Mentors the ICSS/PLC technician directly under his responsibility,
  • Carries out, at COMPANY Validation, any intervention within his field of competence.
  • Takes in charge the systems under his responsibility in case of breakdown until correct operation is resumed.
Profile
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in the maintenance field on offshore oil and gas installations.
  • Higher National Diploma or Higher qualification in Electrical / Instrumentation & Control Engineering
  • Experience in PLC, Allen Bradley, Siemens, ladder logic systems etc. plus related communication interfaces and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) - and all Machine Monitoring Systems (Bentley Nevada) including GE System 1
  • Documented training in Instrumentation & Controls.
