College of Health Science and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti was established by the Ekiti State Government Law (Re-enactment) No.16, 2019. It is located along Epe Road, Ijero-Ekiti, about 50 minutes’ drive from the state capital, Ado Ekiti. The Institution translated from the erstwhile School of Health Technology, in January, 2011 and was borne out of the need to produce qualified middle level Health Professionals that will render Primary Health Care Services, in line with the Global Concept of Community Health.
As part of the preparation to appoint substantive Principal Officers for the College, Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the positions below:
   
Job Title: Librarian Location: Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti
Details
  • The College Librarian shall be responsible to the Provost for the administration of the College Library, coordination of Library services and teaching in the College.
Qualities and Qualifications The Candidates for the post of a librarian is expected to possess the following academic qualifications and personal qualities:
  • Have a minimum of a University Degree in Library Science and Information (PhD in relevant field would be an added advantage).
  • Must be a registered member of the Library Registration Council of Nigeria.
  • must be versed in ICT to service the e-library.
  • Must have worked in a Tertiary Institution library environment and have risen to the post of a Chief Librarian.
  • Must not be more than sixty (60) years of age at the time of assumption of Office.
  • Must have a medical certificate of fitness from a Government Hospital.
Terms of Appointment and Conditions of service
  • The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years - Non-renewable. The salary is consolidated and the appointee shall enjoy other benefits of Office as may be approved from time to time by the Governing Council.
Salary and other Benefits
  • The salary attached to the position is consolidated Tertiary Educational Institutions salary structure.
       
Job Title: Bursar Location: Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti
Details
  • The Bursar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Financial Officer of the College. He/she is responsible to the Provost for the day to day administration and control of the finance of the college and co-ordination of the bursary of the college
Qualities and Qualification The prospective applicant must:
  • possess a good University Degree or its equivalent in relevant field (possession of higher degree will be an added advantage)
  • must be a Professional Chartered Accountant registered with relevant professional bodies of either ICAN or ANAN.
  • Have a minimum of five(5) years experience as a Deputy
  • Bursar/Chief Accountant of a Higher Institution or its equivalent
  • Not be more than 55 years of age at the time of applying for the position.
  • Must have a medical certificate of fitness from a Government I1ospital.
  • Must be proficient in information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Job Title: Registrar Location: Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti
Details
  • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College, who is directly responsible to the Provost in all of his/her functions, except as otherwise directed by the Council in a particular matter.
Qualities and Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities, the Social Sciences or Law (minimum of second class lower division). A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • The candidate for the post of a Registrar must be a seasoned Higher Institution Administrator with no less than five years cognate experience as a Deputy Registrar of a Higher Institution of learning.
  • Must be a member of relevant and recognized Professional bodies.
  • Must not be more than fifty (55) years of age at the time of applying for the position.
  • Must have a medical certificate of fitness from a Government Hospital.
  • Must be a person of proven integrity. He/she must be intellectually and professionally sound and knowledgeable in the rules and regulations of the polytechnic / college
  • He/She must be able to render all necessary Secretariat Services in respect of meetings and advise on compliance with the applicable rules and regulations of the College.
  • must be proficient in information and Communication Technology (Id).

Job Title: Provost Location: Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti
Details
  • The Provost is the Chief Academic, Administrative, and Accounting Officer of the College. He is authorized to exercise general control over both Staff and Students of the College, subject to the law establishing the College and under the general supervision of the Governing Council.
Qualities and Qualifications The candidate for the post of a Provost is expected to possess the following academic qualifications and personal qualities:
  • Must possess a minimum of Master’s degree and be a specialist in Public Health or other related fields (Doctorate degree is an added advantage).
  • Possess relevant Health-related discipline with at least 15 years cognate experience in Teaching, Research, and Higher Institution Administration.
  • Must be a Chief Lecturer with not less than five(5) years experience on that cadre in a College, Polytechnic or an Associate Professor in a University.
  • Must not be more than Sixty (60) years of age at the time of assumption of Office.
  • Must have not less than ten (10) Publications in peer-reviewed Health related journals as well as presentation of papers at Conferences, Seminars or Workshops.
  • Must be of high repute, respected, competent, with proven integrity.
  • Must provide evidence of membership of reputable professional body in Nigeria.
  • Must be able to attract Research Grants and development facilities to the College.
  • Must be a fair-minded and dynamic individual with an impeccable reputation.
  • Must be morally sound and free from financial embarrassment
  • Must be one who does not pursue racial, ethnic, gender, political, religious or other sectional interest.
  • Must have a medical certificate of fitness from a Government Hospital.
  • Must be proficient in information and Communication Technology (ICT).
