Exempt means to be free from an obligation or liability to which others are subject. To exempt a person or thing from a particular rule, duty, or obligation means to state officially that they are not bound or affected by it.
Quarantine is the isolation of people, animals, or plants out of a certain area to prevent the spread of disease or pests. Quarantine can also be a period of time during which an animal or person that might have a disease is kept away from other people or animals so that the disease cannot spread.
A curfew is a law or order stating that people (especially civilians) must stay inside their houses after a particular time at night, for example during a crisis. A curfew can also be a regulation requiring a person to be home at a certain prescribed time, as imposed by a parent on a child.
Ditto in informal English is used to agree with something that has just been said, or to avoid repeating something that has been said. In written lists, ditto can be represented by ditto marks (“) underneath the word that you want to repeat.
