A one-party system is a form of government where the country is ruled by a single political party, meaning only one political party exists and the forming of other political parties is forbidden. Countries with a one party system usually have dictators or totalitarian kind of government because there is no room for opposition and criticism

Judicial independence is the concept that the judiciary should be independent from the other branches of government or the politician in office. That is, courts should not be subject to improper influence from the other branches of government or from private or partisan interests. This is one way to preserve the rights of citizens

 The main function of the Judiciary is to adjudicate and to interpret Acts of Parliament and the common law. Additionally the Judiciary has the power to issue out orders or directives as may be necessary to ensure law, peace and order is maintained.
