The Federal Medical Centre, Gombe (FMCG) is located within the city of Gombe, the capital of Gombe State. This tertiary health institution has a 300-bed capacity and was established in 1996 by the Federal Government.
There are eleven [11] main wards in the hospital including the amenity ward.The various clinical departments run specialist and sub-specialist clinics from Monday to Friday. Emergencies are attended to daily on a 24hour basis through the Accident & Emergency Unit [A & E]. Overall outpatient attendance is about 1750 patients per week.

• Possessing a degree in Medicine (MBBS) registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) from a recognized institution, must have completed one year NYSC and Possess Part I of the Fellowship of the Nigerian Post-Graduate Medical College or its equivalent.

• Possessing a degree in Medicine (MBBS) registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) from a recognized institution and must have completed one year National Service (NYSC) or duly exempted,

5.) Casualty Officers

Requirements

• Possessing a degree in Medicine (MBBS) registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) from a recognized institution and must have completed one year National Service NYSC or duly exempted
• Experience in A & E will be an added advantage

6.) Radiographers

Requirements

• Possessing B.Sc. Radiology or its equivalent registrable with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria from a recognized institution and must have completed one year National Service (NYSC) or duly exempted.

7.) Physiotherapists

Requirements

• Possessing of BSc Physiotherapy and has registered with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria and has completed one year National Service (NYSC) or duly exempted.

8.) Pharmacists

Requirements

• Possession of B.Pharm. registrable with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria and has completed one year National Service (NYSC) or duly exempted.

Requirements

• B.Sc. human nutrition and dietetics or Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution and must have completed the one year National Service (NYSC) or duly exempted and has registered with the relevant professional body.

• NRN/NRM duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria

• Possessing of a Medical Laboratory Technician Certificate from a recognized institution registrable with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria

Requirements

• Possessing Certificate of Anaesthesia Technician from a recognized institution and duly registered with the professional body

13.) Store Officer

Requirements

• Possessing HND in Purchasing and Supplies or Membership of the Institute of Purchasing and Supply, London or Intermediate Certificate of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Accountants or Intermediate Certificate of Institute of Costs and Management Accountants and must have completed one year National Service (NYSC) or duly exempted.
