Job Position: Finance Officer
Location:
Abuja
Supervisor: Programme Manager
Job Summary

  • Provide operational and programmatic support on strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget/financial management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding.
Specific Tasks
  • Design financial management procedures and tools.
  • Specific project accounting.
  • Carry out financial reporting to donors and clients.
  • Prepare and manage project accounts
  • Updating financial records and ensuring compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Identify funding opportunities and coordinate fundraising activities.
  • Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist in preparing relevant reports.
  • Carry out other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification and Competencies
  • Bachelors/HND in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing project finances.
  • 2 - 5 years hands on experience on a similar job.
  • Knowledge and application of quickbook and relevant accounting software.
  • Experience working with NGOs, CBOs, CSOs, IDPs, private sector and government outfits.
  • Ability to think strategically, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and work independently as well as being a part of a team.
  • Proven Information Technology skills including word processing, database application (excel), presentation software (power point) and internet appreciation.
  • Audit experience.
  • Well developed written and oral communication skills.
Job Position: Planning and Policy Officer
Location:

Supervisor: Programme Manager
Job Summary
  • Provide programmatic support in the design of interventions and projects; proposal development, resource mobilisation and project implementation.
Specific Tasks
  • Identify intervention areas and relevant partner organisations/individuals/groups.
  • Conduct research, policy analysis and advocacy on the issues relating to the assignment.
  • Prepare proposals and concept papers.
  • Design strategies for raising funds for programmes and projects.
  • Develop work plans and related budgets.
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure efficient management of project financial resources by planning, budgeting, implementing and monitoring of project funds and ensuring successful financial project delivery.
  • Organize events, conferences, workshops and seminars.
  • Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist in preparing relevant reports.
  • Carry out other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification and Competencies
  • Masters/Bachelors degree preferably in social and management sciences.
  • Knowledge and experience in initiating and managing development projects.
  • 2 -5 years working experience with NGOs, CBOs, CSOs, IDPs, private sector and government outfits.
  • Ability to think strategically, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and work independently as well as being a part of a team.
  • Proven Information Technology skills including word processing, database application (excel), presentation software (power point) and internet appreciation.

Job Position: M&E Officer

Job Summary
  • Provide programmatic support in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation procedures and tools for various programmes/projects.
Specific Tasks
  • Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving project outputs.
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation indicators for projects.
  • Suggest strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of projects by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks.
  • Support in coordinating across the various project components to ensure effective implementation of M & E procedures and tools.
  • Provide periodic reports on all project activities.
  • Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist in preparing relevant reports.
  • Carry out other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification and Competencies
  • Masters/Bachelors degree preferably in social and management sciences.
  • Knowledge and experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation.
  • 2 - 5 years' experience in Monitoring & Evaluation.
  • Experience working with NGOs, CBOs, CSOs, IDPs, private sector and government outfits.
  • Ability to think strategically, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and work independently as well as being a part of a team.
  • Proven Information Technology skills including word processing, database application (excel), presentation software (power point) and internet appreciation.
  • Well developed written and oral communication skills.
