We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Certified Welding Inspector Location: Lagos Primary Responsibilities

  • Interpret of the intent and ensure the requirements of codes, standards and specifications are met.
  • Ensure that a procedure is available, has been approved and is being employed in production.
  • Witness the preparation of test plates and destructive tests and verify compliance with appropriate standards and specifications.
  • Verify that adequate and valid welder approvals are available, and that only approved welders are used in production.
  • Verify parent material against documentation and markings.
  • Verify correctness of welding consumables (electrodes, filler wires, consumable in¬serts, gases, fluxes etc.)
  • Verify that dimensions, fit-up and weld preparations are in accordance with specifications
  • Verify that any required preheat is in accordance with the specified procedure.
  • Carry out surveillance during welding to verify compliance with specified procedures including any pre¬heat, interpass temperature control and post heat require¬ments.
  • Assist and agree with the preparation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s)
  • Verify, when required, that post weld heat treat¬ment has been conducted in accordance with specification requirements
  • Visual inspection and dimensional check of completed weldment against specification require¬ments and drawings
  • Study and take cognizance of NDT results on any welding work for which the welding inspector is responsible. Where the duties of the welding inspector include using NDT methods such as liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, radiography or ultrasonic inspection then it is suggested that he/she obtains certification in accordance with the related approval schemes
  • Evaluate and prepare inspection reports for the employer or the client
  • Maintain records of inspections carried out
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Required Experience: 3 years relevant experience.
  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's Degree / HND in Engineering / Sciences.

    Job Title: Lead Design Engineer Location: Lagos Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering designs and specifications during pre and post contract bid phase
  • Execute design activities from conceptual design to detail design
  • Review and verify design drawings and other technical documentation prepared by others to ensure correctness and accuracy in form, fit and function
  • Evaluate tenders and contracts
  • Attend scope clarification meetings as part of the Projects Team to confirm the final requirements of the project before and following contract award.
  • Carry out site survey, as required, prior to commencement of the contract work, to determine compliance with the proposed design and scope of work
  • Provide support to the commercial and logistics department on technical item procurement.
  • Ensure that necessary records are kept on site and project completion report provided.
  • Supervise sub-contractors during engagement to ensure specified quality of work is met and delivered to time.
  • Attend site/Project meetings with the client and Projects Team as required.
  • Assist with technical advice to other personnel as required.
  • Identify, quantify and implement tools, methods, processes and equipment, which improve the quality, reliability and productivity of the department.
  • Work with clients to proffer solutions to complaints while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Interpret client requirements.
Job Requirements
  • A minimum of a B.Eng./B.Tech./HND (Mechanical Engineering or related field)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience (both site experience and design experience)
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD Plant 3D and other design software applications
  • Professional qualifications, preferably in project management, and membership of NSE is a plus.

    Job Title: Driver Location: Lagos Primary Responsibilities
  • Driving
  • Drive vehicle for official travel and business, or as requested by line manager
  • Maintain high standard of service to both internal and external guests.
  • Ensure punctuality and safe transport;
  • Observing the road and traffic laws and regulations of the Country
  • Ensure that safe driving practices are adhered to including local driving codes and internally agreed standards.
  • Alcohol must not be consumed or present whilst on duty
Car Security & Maintenance:
  • Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition at all times
  • Ensure vehicle is kept secure at all times
  • Ensure vehicle is given regular/day-to-day maintenance checks: check oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres, etc.
  • Ensure vehicle repairs are carried out properly.
  • Perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs, prepare vehicle spare parts inventory
  • Prepare and submit vehicle monitoring report, including records of vehicle operations, maintenance, expenses, mileage, at end of each month
  • Assist the Admin Manager to ensure vehicle insurance and registration is updated according to schedule
Car Logbook maintenance:
  • Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, etc;
Administrative work:
  • Provide assistant to the Admin Manager in the time working at the office, including but not limited to: photocopying, filing, handling mail, delivering goods and correspondences, carrying parcels, packages, and delivery and collection of official documents.
  • Maintaining office storage facility/compound (ensuring it is clean, secure, dry and orderly tidy)  and any other assigned job.
