We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:     Job Title: HSE Manager Location: Lagos Job Description

• Provide direction for company personnel on the importance of complying with company system procedures and all safety equipment provided by the organisation.
• Coordinate compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support health, safety and environmental management
• Coordinate detailed incident investigations and implement Root Cause Analysis where necessary
• Develop scope, objectives, work plans, priorities and schedule for assessments/ audit activities
• Coordinate the development and presentation of relevant HSE training
• Maintain positive and proactive relations with management, employees and host communities

• Minimum of a second class lower bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE, Fire & Safety Management Systems.

• Minimum of 12 years relevant experience in the oil and gas sector of which 6 years or more should be in a supervisory capacity
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organisational skills, information management proficiency and collaborative management styles
• Ability to work through and identify the root cause of problems
• Ability to conduct audit and gather evidence through observations, interviews and sampling

• Planning, implementing and review of the project ‘s Quality Management System as per ISO 9001 and Company mandatory rules, specifications and statutory requirements.
• Convene QA/QC meetings with contractors/suppliers on a regular basis to discuss quality matters when necessary
• Establish measurable objectives based on the Project’s needs at all levels
• Ensure that the overall design, engineering, equipment and material supply, construction and commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the project’s quality management programme
• Stimulate quality awareness with all project stakeholders and strive for continual improvement of the company’s Quality Management System.

• Minimum of a second-class lower Bachelor's Degree in either Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Welding Engineering complemented with training in the domain of ISO 9001 / Internal Auditing.

• Minimum of 10 years experience in quality management in the Oil & Gas or related industry and 5 years in supervisory position.
• Knowledge of RBI methodology (Risk Based Inspection)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Theoretical and practical experience with implementation of quality plans, document control and a process approach to quality management
• A sound working knowledge of welding and NDT
• Ability to lead quality audits and reviews.

• Develop and maintain schedules to meet full requirements of project
• Perform project progress monitoring duties including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts with achieved progress
• Recognize competing business requirements and make recommendations for overall project effectiveness
• Support integration of project management systems into the daily operations of the plant
• Assist the project controls team with evaluating schedule impact arising from change orders or variations

• Minimum of a second class lower Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or Business related courses.
• Must be PMP certified
• MBA or MSc can be an advantage.

• Minimum of 10-12 years relevant experience in the oil and gas sector
• Strong planning and strategy formulation skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Must have advanced knowledge of MS Project and Excel, Primavera P6 software.
