We are recruiting to fill the positions below:   Job Title: Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer - SENSE Project Location: Yola, Adamawa Department: Atiku Center (SENSE project) Nature of Employment: Project Assignment Duration: Two (2) Years
Description
  • In collaboration with a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), the American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking for prospective candidates for the SENSE (Strengthening Education in North East) project funded by USAID
  • The position is a local position and is open to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.
Summary of Position
  • The Senior M&E Officer will report to the Snr. M&E Specialist
  • They will be responsible for administering tools, collecting and entering classroom and school data as well as conduct basic analysis
  • They will also be responsible for supporting senior staff during workshops.
Position Requirements
  • M.Sc in Mathematics / Statistics / ITC required with 3 years experience or B.Sc with 7 years experience
  • M&E experience on an Education project
  • Experience with managing large data sets
  • Experience in M&E training for state and non-state partners
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and community mobilization skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, (to be tested)
  • Ability to use excel and similar software for extensive analysis and reporting (to be tested).

Job Title: Automobile Electrical Technician Location: Yola, Adamawa Department: Transport and Automobile
Summary of Position
  • The Automobile Electrical Technician is expected to carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies
  • He/she must have extensive knowledge of the increasingly complex electrical systems found in different types of vehicles, rely heavily on their electronic CPU to function
  • He/she must use analytical skills to run diagnostic tests on these interwoven electrical systems, and then use the knowledge base to repair the issue
  • He/she must also have good communication skills in order to deal with clients on a daily basis.
Requirements for the Position
  • Trade Test / Diploma in Electrical Electronics
  • Experience in installation of automotive air-conditioning units
  • Ability to think logically and clearly
  • Adequate knowledge and principles of air-conditioning unit repair and maintenance, including controls, MSDS sheets, safety practices and procedures and tools used.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals regulations and
  • Must work flexible hours.

Job Title: Resident Nurse (Female) Location: Adamawa Department: AUN Clinic / New Foundation School
Summary of Position
  • The Resident Nurse shall work with the team at the Health Center directly under the Head Nurse to provide clinical and medical support for the HC doctor, nurses and to the patients at the NFS resident hall. She should ensure the Health & Wellness of NFS students.
  • The incumbent will reside in the NFS residence hall and be of service to the students during the day and when urgent instances occur.
Position Requirements
  • Nursing Certificate
  • Valid License to practice / Nursing registration
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of direct work experience
  • Basic Nursing Ethics
  • Ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary.
  • Flexible with time.
  • Ability to learn
  • Attention to detail.
  • Capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency.
Other Requirements, Abilities for the Position:
  • Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques
  • Knowledge of pharmacological agents used in-patient treatment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette
  • Tactfulness and professionalism
