We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Camera Operator / Video Editor Location: Lagos

Job Description

A fast-growing digital news platform requires a full-time camera operator/video editor to join its content production team.
Must have a positive attitude, a strong ability to multi-task, and can adapt and execute in a corporate environment.

Main Responsibilities

Conceptualise, shoot and edit a variety of news content, often under tight deadlines, in an ever-changing production landscape
Take a brief to grasp the production team’s needs and specifications
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximise efficiency.
Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
Create rough and final cuts

Requirements

Proven work experience as a camera operator and video editor
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages
A desire to continue to grow and learn in an ever-changing media environment
Must have a minimum qualification of HND and excellent social media skills
Must be ready for immediate employment and willing to work weekends.
Residence around Ikeja, Maryland, Anthony in Lagos State is a major advantage.
Demonstrable video recording and editing ability with a strong portfolio
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
A positive attitude and the ability to think on your feet and effectively troubleshoot
