Accountant Job in a Leading Security Agency in Nigeria

Bradfield Consulting Limited - Our Client, a Leading Security Agency is looking for an Experienced Accounting Executive to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting that is fully compliant with
the standard accounting practices.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Nigeria

Key Task and Responsibilities

• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Respond to internal and third-party enquires regarding payments processing.
• Maintain all records of taxation activities including tax liabilities and payments and provide adequate proof of remittances for tax audit exercises.
• Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
• Prepare and ensure prompt rendition of personal income tax.
• Ensure accuracy of computations on salary schedule.
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. 
• Preparation of Bank Reconciliation Statements, Vendor and Customer Ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare client billing schedule and submit invoice to clients.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
• Prepare periodic reports on all invoices processed and received
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Assist in Completion of statutory Audits and compliance to Internal Audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies & procedures.
• Ensure statutory payments and fillings in time before due date
• Ensure accurate and complete posting of the Company’s inventory in accordance with agreed standards.

• A minimum of 7 - 10 years post-NYSC relevant professional experience in accounting
• Practical use of Peachtree and Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Individual with good ethics and integrity essential.
• A professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA) is an added advantage.
