Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) - Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following Academic positions in the Faculty of Law, of Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu.
Positions:

1) Professors
2) Senior Lecturers

A. Professors:
Department of Public Law
Candidates applying for the position of Professor in this department must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Law, preferably in the area of Public Law. The Candidates must have at least 15 years teaching and research experience in a recognized University. Candidates could also be either a. Professor in another accredited University in the field of Public Law, a Reader or an Associate Professor of three years teaching experience in Public Law course(s), a Senior Lecturer of six years teaching experience in Public Law course(s), with proven evidence of productive scholarship and substantial publications in Learned Journals and other reputable sources.

Department of International Law
Candidates applying for the position of Professor in this department must: possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Law, preferably in the area of International Law. The Candidates must have at least 15 years teaching and research experience in a recognized University. Candidates could also be either a Professor in another accredited University in the field of International Law, a Reader or an Associate Professor of three years teaching experience in International Law course(s), a Senior Lecturer of six years teaching experience in International Law course(s) with proven evidence of productive scholarship and substantial publications in Learned Journals and other reputable sources.

Department of Business Law
Candidates applying for the position of Professor in this department must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Law, preferably in the area of Business Law. The Candidates must have at least 15 years teaching and research experience in a recognized University. Candidates could also be either a Professor in another accredited University in the field of Business Law, a Reader or an Associate Professor of three years teaching experience in Business Law course(s), a Senior Lecturer of six years teaching experience in Business Law course(s), with proven evidence of productive scholarship and substantial publications in Learned Journals and other reputable sources.

Department of Private Law
Candidates applying for the position of Professor in this department must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Law, preferably in the area of Private Law. The Candidates must have at least 15 years teaching and research experience in a recognized University. Candidates could also be either a Professor in another accredited University in the field of Private Law, a Reader or an Associate Professor of three years teaching experience in Private Law course(s), a Senior Lecturer of six years teaching experience in Private Law course(s), with proven evidence of productive scholarship and substantial publications in Learned Journals and other reputable sources.

B. Senior Lecturers:
Department of Private Law
Candidates applying for the position of Senior Lecturer in this department must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Law, preferably in the area of Private Law. The Candidates must have at least 10 years teaching and research experience in a recognized University. Candidates could also be either a Senior Lecturer in another accredited University in the field of Private Law, or Lecturer 1 of three years teaching experience in Private Law course(s), with proven evidence of productive scholarship and substantial publications in Learned Journals and other reputable sources.

Department of Public Law
Candidate applying for the position of Senior Lecturer in this department must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Law, preferably in the area of Public Law. Candidates applying for the position of Senior Lecturer in this department must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Law, preferably in the area of International Law. The Candidates must have at least 10 years teaching and research experience in a recognized University. Candidates could also be either a Senior Lecturer in another accredited University in the field of International Law, or Lecturer 1 of three years teaching experience in International Law course(s), with proven evidence of productive scholarship and substantial publications in Learned Journals and other reputable sources.

Department of Business Law
Candidates applying for the position of Senior Lecturer in this department roust possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Law, preferably in the area of Business Law. The Candidates must have at least 10 years teaching and research experience in a recognized University. Candidates could also be either a Senior Lecturer in another accredited University in the field of Business Law, or Lecturer 1 of three years teaching experience in Business Law course(s), with proven evidence of productive scholarship and substantial publications in Learned Journals and other reputable sources.

Salary:

Senior Lecturer - Conuass 05

Method of Application
Interested candidates for any of the positions should submit 30 copies of their applications accompanied by 30 copies of the candidates most recent Curriculum Vitae which shall contain the following:

• Positions held and other relevant information

• Professional and academic achievements

2.) All candidates must supply, on their application letters the names and addresses of three referees. Each referee must please be contacted by the applicant to forward direct to the Registrar, a confidential report.

3.) The sealed envelope containing the completed application should be boldly marked Post of Professor or Post of Senior Lecturer at the top left hand corner of the sealed envelopes.
