We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Fleet Management Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles
  • Make sure vehicles are always ready and available to meet orders by scheduling and monitoring current trends in the industry, so as to enable forecasts
  • Monitor fuel purchases by administering fuel cards for all vehicles to their respective drivers. This is done in order to regulate cost/expenses.
  • Managing vehicle licensure and registration.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Draw up a budget for the company’s fleet management department and present it to management for further analysis and approval
  • Take preventive measure to ensure safety of vehicles and drivers too
  • Relate with the vehicles documentation desk to ensure that all the vehicles particulars (e.g. registration, insurance) are complete
  • Pro-actively monitor the company’s fleet for any inconsistencies with the vehicles movements outside the prohibited working hours.
  • Send weekly report to unit head on the health of the fleets and other related issues arising from the fleet monitoring system.
  • Raise payment memos for services provided by external contractors/vendors.
  • Monitor and ensure the routine and need-based maintenance of the vehicles in conjunction with the head driver.
  • Support the department in jointly supervising and coordinating work of mechanics and auto repair shop.
  • Track and analyze the vehicles-wise cost of fueling, maintenance, and other recurring expenses pertaining to running of the fleet.
  • Supervise the maintenance of all company vehicles, including the branch offices and welcome centers
  • Check that invoices received are accurate, and is in line with job order and within budget
  • Any other duties as directed by the Unit Head.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of HND / B.Sc / B.Tech in Engineering, Logistics, Economics, Statistics, Accounting or any other Numerical Discipline.
  • Well conversant with Excel as well as other Office application.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
