Job for a Process Auditor in a reputable FMCG company in Lagos
Michael Stevens Consulting - Our client a reputable FMCG company is
seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join their staff. In this
role, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing plant
production
quality by auditing systems, performing statistical studies and trials,
and problem solving and improving the processes to optimize quality and
minimize waste generation.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Process Auditor
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Communicates with and coaches all Quality Department associates
to ensure compliance with all plant, and Occupational Health &
Safety and Environmental policies.
- Performs all duties of a manager as outlined in the Internal
Responsibilities section of the corporate Health & Safety program
manual.
- Serves as the Management Representative for Quality with the
authority and responsibility for ensuring that all requirements of all
pertinent standards are implemented and maintained.
- Coordinate certification and surveillance audits with outside standard organization.
- Manage Cost of Quality (COQ) information preparation and distribution
- Actively seek to resolve ongoing quality and processing issues
by collaborating with the Production and Technical group to identify
problems and initiate viable solutions.
- Identify present and future test equipment needs to satisfy
customer requirements. Establish procedures for testing and safety that
meet requirements for ISO.
- Oversee the creation, updating, and communication of plant processing specifications and compound mixing procedures.
- Is a safety advocate; leads by example by complying with all plant and Occupational Health and Safety policies.
- Manage and serve as a resource for the Production and Quality
Control Lab teams. Communicate company policies, decisions, and change
positively and directly.
- Attend daily Management meeting to discuss plant issues, direction and strategy.
- Oversee plant compliance with relevant ISO standards including:
promote ISO awareness throughout the plant; make improvements as
required to procedures, work instructions, documentation, auditing,
training and record keeping.
Requirements
- Education - Bachelor of Science degree, or related post-secondary degree (Preferably an Engineering discipline)
Experience
- 6-10 years of Process Audit/Quality Control Management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong decision making skills
- Strong analytical / problem solving skills
- Ability to multi task
- Certified ISO Auditor
- Experience working with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong leadership skills
- Good computer skills
