We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: BSWA Senior Installation Engineer Location: Nigeria Job Type: Contracts Job Nature: Resident Description

  • Providing robust assessment of submitted installation schedules as part of tender evaluation and de-risking the project.
  • Develop the tender evaluation criteria for the transportation and installation scope across all the SURF contract Packages, as well as, participate in the tender evaluation process leading to selection of the preferred bidder.
  • Support the assessment of the Pre-commissioning plans and methods proposed by bidders.
  • Provide technical support in final alignment with winning tenderer post ITT preparation of final interface handshakes across EPCs with respect to load outs sequence, transportation and offshore installation, whilst ensuring that system wide integration and integrity are well managed.
  • Champion compliance with all installation related Quality and HSSE&SP requirements as defined in the contract scope
  • Coordinate the response to technical queries related to installation scope across all the SURF contract packages during the tender clarification process. Track and record all technical queries and support C&P in providing response to tenderers.
  • Act as a focal point/technical authority for pipeline and offshore structures installation engineering questions throughout ITT technical evaluation phase.
  • Review project documents for conformity to project’s specifications and requirements during bid verification phase.
  • Provide engineering reviews to alternative transportation and installation techniques from the Tenderers.
  • Providing technical insights into the suitability of offshore transportation and installation activities and sequence proposed by vendors in their bids.
  • Review installation contractor plans and schedules to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Monitoring contractor’s transportation and installation performance against plan during execute phase.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least 15 years experience in upstream EP projects.
  • At least 12 years Field related hands-on experience directly related to installation engineering and offshore installation in deep waters.
  • He / She must be Knowledgeable in engineering interface management across EPCs boundaries.

  • Candidate is required to have led/ participated in at least ten (10) offshore load-outs, transportation and installation of large subsea infrastructure.
  • He / She is required to be experienced in transportation and installation analysis of various offshore subsea hardware (i.e. Jumpers, manifolds, suction piles, pipelines, Risers, dynamic and static Umbilicals etc.
  • Candidate must be experienced in Tendering process including bid evaluation of a similar project.
  • Candidate is expected to have supervised a major Offshore installation work including Pipeline installation, Riser pre-lay and recovery; in addition to offshore heavy lifts of large subsea manifold, suction piles, static and dynamic umbilicals/Flexible installations.
  • Candidate must be conversant with use of S-Lay, J-Lay and flex lay techniques for offshore pipeline installation.
  • Candidate must have been involved with a major brownfield modification campaign involving Permit to work (PTW) administration.
  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skill is a requirement for this role in addition to Proficiency in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications.

  • Delivery of the BSWA Umbilical system, and field installation of all associated infrastructure in accordance with the Client's policies and standards, ready for introduction of hydrocarbons by Q2 2022, within budget and no LTI recorded
