Job Title: Production Manager

Job Descriptions

• Plan a production schedule for the job.
• Implement and control the production schedule.
• Review and adjust the schedule where needed.
• Determine the human resources required.
• Determine the material resources required.
• Manage human and material resources to meet production targets.
• Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement.
• Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations.
• Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
• Set product quality standards.
• Monitor quality standards of products.
• Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
• Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
• Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
• Prepare and maintain production reports.
• Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
• Estimate production costs.
• Set production budgets.
• Manage production budgets.
• Implement cost control programs.
• Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management

• B.Sc/HND in Food Science Technology or any related discipline.
• Resident of Lagos.
• Candidate must be 30-39 years of age male or female.
• Candidate must have Six (6) years working experience of which three years must be in a structured organisation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• The ability to work under little or no supervision.
• The ability to work under pressure and deal with difficult situations.
• Customer Service - Respond promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; meets commitments.

• The quality control manager position develops, implements and manages quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals).
• The position supervises a team of quality control inspectors.
• Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
• Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
• Develop and analyse statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
• Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
• Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
• Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximise product reliability and minimise costs.
• Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
• Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.
• Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
• Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
• Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
• Create and direct environmental test functions and applications.
• Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
• Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.

• B.Tech degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
• Supervisory/management experience.
