Job Title: Sales Team Lead
Locations: Kano & Abeokuta

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Team Lead to contribute to the achievement of sales targets by holding the sales team together, providing training and motivation to the team to reach sales goals.
  • To be a successful Sales Team Lead, you should have excellent organizational, administrative tasks such as maintaining sales performance, recruiting and training staff, strong leadership and problem-solving skills. You should also possess strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and ensure the company maintains a strong presence in the industry.
  • Initiates and coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plan and strategies that will guarantee achievement of target.
  • Making the company's products and services as attractive to potential customers as possible.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Work with Key Distributor within assigned coverage area and agreed frequency, to sustain achieve volume objectives and desired productivity measures.
  • Prepares annual, quarterly and monthly update accounts on current opponents or business possibilities.
  • Take a leadership role for the sales team members in setting a positive, nurturing climate of care and success for staff relations and operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Current knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
  • Technical proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, sales tracking and customer relationship management software.
  • Ability to think and plan strategically, plan, manage and act to achieve outcomes.
  • 5-7 more years' experience in sales with not less than 2 years as a sales lead in the FMCG industry with strong knowledge of distributor management.
  • Good team development and leadership skills.
