We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Strategy & Commercial Manager
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full - time

Your Role

  • As a Strategy & Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing organisation’s strategies and determine our strengths, weaknesses, operational effectiveness, and opportunities.
  • You will also make recommendations based on internal and external factors to minimise risks and formulate plans to achieve the organisation’s long-term goals.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development of long-term organisational strategy.
  • Conducting research and analyses of operational effectiveness, processes, stakeholders, etc.
  • Aligning departmental goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organisational strategy.
  • Assessing market trends and competitors.
  • Identifying threats and opportunities.
  • Identify business gaps and propose corrective actions.
  • Prepare scenario plans/proposals supported by sufficiently detailed financials and commentary so to ensure Trade targets are reached for the year.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key customers.
  • Work with Sales Team to develop competitive pricing proposals with due consideration to shareholder value.
  • Drive and motivate the Sales Team and Agents to sell in line with the budget.
  • Recommend business improvements based on market and competitive trends.
  • Collaborate with various departments to collect business data to complete timely analysis.
  • Analyse trends, market profile and competition changes to ensure the Trade Team is provided with up-to-date knowledge of the market.
  • Compile and deliver concise reports monthly to ensure that the Line manager is provided with timely and up-to-date information on cargo volume, change in revenue, and costs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Line Manager

Requirements

  • Degree in Business or related field, MBA preferred
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in business administration, management consulting or strategic planning
  • Relevant professional certification
