Pharmacologist Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

The following common skills and qualifications are required of a Pharmacologist:

  • A Medical or Doctoral degree.
  • A state license and certification to administer drugs to humans.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to handle medical equipment and other machines used in research.
  • A strong working knowledge of mathematics and science.
  • The ability to gather, analyze, and understand medical data.
