We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Logistics Coordinator (M/F) Location: Maiduguri, Borno Contract : Fixedterm contract Duration : 6 months Starting date : 15th May, 2017 Tasks and Responsibilities Under the responsibility of the general coordinator, you provide logistics guidance and support to the mission and field sites, you are responsible for the logistics staff and their capacity building. You are the focal person for the referent logistician at HQ level.

More specifically, your activities are:
  • Define and implement the logistic tools and process
  • Assist fields on schedule all logistics activities needed
  • Develop and maintain good network of contacts to facilitate emergency responses
  • In coordination with the administrative coordinator, be in charge of the implementation, follow up and respect of MdM logistics procedures
  • Responsible for the line management, technical support and capacity building of logistics staff
  • Participate in development, implementation and monitoring of MdM’s security measures incountry
  • Provide input on logistics matters to the coordination team for proposal and report writing
  • Ensure the good filling and followup of all the logistics tools for a good capitalization
  • Responsible for the appropriate selection, use and maintenance of equipment
  • Manage and supervise the rehabilitation of the health centres
  • Monitor the security context and compile all security incidents
  • Ensure systems mitigate risks from corruption and insecurity
  • Represent MdM with external organisations and attend national logistic or security meetings
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in the field of humanitarian logistics
  • Experience in working in challenging environment
  • Langugages: English fluent
  • French is an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of Pack Office (Word, Excel)
  • Driving licence
  • Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines
  • Ability to listen and share decisions
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Experience in fleet management and in dealing with military authorities
  • Experience in pharmaceutical import is an advantage
  • Technical skills in supply chain, stock, IT, rehabilitation and shelter
  • Respectful, diplomatic and excellent behaviour

More specifically, your activities are:
  • Identify needs, implement and supervise trainings for all healthcare staff, with a focus on doctors and community health officers (CHO)
  • Oversee the quality of the doctors and CHO activities
  • Conduct trainings and follow up for community health volunteers on all aspects of health promotion
  • Ensure direct care to patients when necessary
  • Support the referral of medical cases under supervision of the medical supervisor
  • Work in close collaboration with other MdM trainers to implement trainings
  • Coordinate with medical supervisor to conduct field activities
  • Compile data for inclusion in medical reports
  • Attend to external medical meetings upon request
Skills and Experience
  • Medical doctor degree
  • Relevant experience in training medical teams
  • Ability to work with multi-national team Reactivity, anticipation, adaptability
  • Excellent organizational skills Good writing, computer and communication skills
  • Capacity to work and to live in tense conditions
  • Languages: fluent English is required
  • Experience in health promotion activities
  • Experience in working with local authorities, partners
