We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Payroll/Tax Accountant Location: Lagos Position Description

  • The Payroll /Tax Accountant reports to the Financial Controller and is primarily responsible for providing and ensuring the accuracy of payroll reports and time sheets.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate monthly Payroll activities.
  • Ensure Payroll is run in compliance with company policy, accounting standards, legal and SOX requirements.
  • Manage Payroll interfaces with HR, Treasury and Banks, Governmental Agencies (Tax.
  • Authorities, Pension Fund Administrators, and Insurance, Industrial Training Fund etc.).
  • Manage 3rd party payments (NDDC, NCD, DPR and other regulatory Agencies).
  • Manage Employee Contributory/Voluntary Pension Scheme and Gratuity Scheme
  • Manage employee tax payment (PAYE), tax returns and tax relief claims.
  • Process and report ex-staff final payment/indebtedness.
  • Manage employees expense claim, floats and deductions
  • Manage control issues and resolves escalations.
  • Monitor system performance as business requirements, identify system deficiencies, prepare
  • Feasibility analysis and liaise with Business Unit heads to implement required system enhancements.
  • Support Payroll System Assurance process (DR testing, Backup Restore).
  • Manage Payroll accounting in the Accounting system.
  • Develop and implement effective and robust internal control systems around payroll and taxes and liaise with the internal audit department for implementation.
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment of all pay elements.
  • Ensure company policies and salary regime are correctly implemented.
  • Provide timely, reliable and fit for purpose payroll management information.
  • Ensure compliance with JOA, and all related agreements, government and third party regulations.
  • Manage information security in payroll processes.
  • Compute Petroleum profits tax, CIT, Deferred taxes and all other government taxes.
  • Perform year-end accrual review and prepare the tax provision.
  • Prepare PPT and EPPT returns.
  • Prepare/Review other various tax filings: Annual reports
  • Assist in federal and state tax audits.
  • Manage, account and make timely returns of all transaction taxes
  • Develop and monitor processes and procedures for the management of fixed assets.
  • Record fixed asset acquisitions and disposals in the accounting system in line with accounting standards
  • Ensure that fixed assets in AFE costs in CIP /WIP are adequately tracked and recorded and such fixed assets are transferred to the appropriate asset category and closed out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of the fixed asset schedule to determine disposals. Reconcile fixed assets count with book values
  • Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the general ledger.
  • Run depreciation for all fixed assets.
  • Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
  • Collaborate with team members to monitor asset disposals and movements.
Qualifications Required
  • University degree in accounting (second class division). Distinction in HND may be considered.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA/ ICAN) is an added advantage
  • Professional qualification CITN would be an added advantage.

Salary Very Attractive.     Job Title: Senior Project / Facilities Engineer Location: Lagos Position Descriptions
  • The Senior Project/Facilities Engineer will utilize strong hands on engineering and management skill set to effectively and efficiently deliver oil and gas facilities from initiation to handover within a brown (and sometimes semi green) field environment in a timely and safe manner.
  • The role will directly support oil production objectives and operations and maintenance of the producing onshore/swamp assets including all processing, utilities and evacuation systems.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Manager, Project Execution, and the successful candidate will be responsible for daily operations and project management of facility projects from inception to completion for the Projects and Facilities Engineering Department.
  • Support business objectives and, project delivery objectives by developing, implementing, using and communicating appropriate processes, systems and procedures with a focus on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE).
  • Within the Project Delivery framework, the successful candidate will:
  • Ensure that production facilities projects, corporate and legislative standards are met.
  • Conduct/lead project evaluations and scope identification/development. Support Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering activities including cost estimates, schedules, contracting, designs, equipment sizing, HAZOP studies, regulatory permitting, construction work packages.
  • Trouble-shoot, analyze and solve problems as they arise. Learn from all situations, listen to expertise ideas and apply solutions and lessons learned to future projects.
  • Carry out procurements, cost control and supervise the execution of facilities projects including contracting, quality control, construction management and handover to operations.
  • Lead engineering activities and execute projects in a team environment involving petroleum engineering, production services, operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Interphase with operations and maintenance personnel, and provide technical field support for Management of Change (MOC) projects (optimization projects) or like-for like replacement projects to ensure operational integrity of facilities.
  • Provide input into facilities design, P&ID and HAZOP reviews.

  • Provide supervision and direction to Junior Engineers and multiple on-site.

    Job Title: Commercial/Shipping Officer Location: Lagos Job Summary
  • Generating income from Lifting to shipment activities related to the sale of Oil & Gas Production of Eroton Exploration and Gas as well as negotiating contracts and setting up risk review committees to ensure operations remain profitable and within the bounds of the law.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure early application and approval for form-1 from DPR, Start at least 8 weeks before the expiration of the existing permit from FMOC, Abuja
  • Ensure proper distribution of permit to Nigerian Customs in Abuja, Bonny Terminal as well as DPR
  • Prepare vessel & crude oil nominations, follow-up clearances, and ensures all administrative work with partners, NNPC & ensure smooth lifting operations at the Bonny Terminal.
  • Prepare all documentation in respect of the Joint Venture partners, liaising with NNPC and Production Department.
  • Prepare certificates relating to the quality/quantity of all crude oil shipments and ensures that all paperwork associated with shipping activities is efficiently prepared and approved to enable all such activities to precede as planned.
  • Ensure that all Eroton lifting programs at Bonny Terminal are efficiently implemented and updates the Status Report for circulation to all interested parties on daily and monthly basis.
  • Carry out all governmental procedures for ensuring openness in crude lifting operations.
  • Participate in the monthly curtailment pre-meeting activities & meeting attendance with NNPC.
  • Assist with OPTS Terminals Operators Meetings reporting.
  • Renew application for NCS Form C30 for agency signatory renewal for lifting personnel and ensure payment of requisite fees on schedule.
  • Ensure that lifting is conducted within 36 hours of lay can to avoid demurrage and obtain promptly documented instructions preceding lifting proper.
  • Obtain on schedule proper nomination advice to DPR, COMD and NAPIMS.
  • Ensure crude oil analysis result is within specification to avoid poor quality crude shipment.
  • Ensure proper documentation with export tanker captain, DPR, Bonny Terminal etc.
  • Attend Quarterly Crude Oil Market Review meetings with COMD and other meetings.

    Job Title: Engineering Team Lead Location: Lagos Reports to: Projects and Facilities Engineering Manager Summary
  • The Engineering Team Lead will lead a team of discipline engineers to provide technical discipline support to the Projects, Operations and Maintenance teams especially in the typical brown field onshore/swamp assets.
  • As a key interface person, he/she will co-ordinate the Facilities Engineering involvement in Field Development Planning and project development in the front-end phases.
Key roles and Responsibilities Technical:
  • Identifying and assessing the value and capability of new or additional technologies.
  • Responsibility for compliance to Technical HSE requirements in asset development.
  • Take lead in identifying, providing and facilitating solutions to engineering and technical problems especially as it relates to brown field onshore/swamp assets
