Everything Electric is a leading conglomerate in Electrical Engineering materials construction, distribution, retail and contracting firm with head office in Lagos. We are opening a one stock mega Retail shop that would supply and distribute all household and industrial electrical parts and accessories to all customers across Nigeria, in Lagos Mainland. As a result of this, we are currently in need of an qualified candidate to fill the position below:     Job Title: Retail Operations Manager Location: Lagos Job Descriptions

  • The Retail Operations manager will plans and directs the operations of our one stock retail store.
  • Develops strategies to improve and deliver a transformational retail customer experience; drive store sales and increase profitability.
  • Ensures customers’ needs are met, complaints resolved and service is quick and efficient.
  • Work with other department and teams to ensure steady stock flow, inventory and products displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability.
Job Responsibilities The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
  • Ensures availability of merchandise and services by maintaining and reporting inventories.
  • Assist management in Formulating pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales, monitoring competitor’s retail prizes and studying trends.
  • Securing merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
  • Protecting employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  • Ensuring all operational requirements for the Retail Shop centre to run smoothly are always in place.
  • Ensuring employees adhere to the company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring all team members deliver outstanding on the job performance by coaching, mentoring and training.
  • Defining employee KPI’s (Key performance indicators) and appraising employee performance.
  • Achieving financial objectives by increasing revenue, minimizing expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
Required Experience/Qualifications/Skills
  • Minimum of a B.Sc./BA/HND in any discipline. (Electrical Engineering is an added advantage)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Retail sales in FMCG, and/or Electrical Engineering materials and accessories; for which two years supervisory exposure is a MUST
  • Exceptional Customer Focus, Budget planning, Vendor Relationships, Market Knowledge, People Management, Strategic Planning, Good Communication Skill is Key.
  • Efficient in data analysis and reporting
