We are recruiting to fill the below positions:   Job Title: Principal QA / QC Engineer Location: Lagos Island, Lagos Job Category: Oil & Gas Job Type: Contract Job Shift: Day Duration: 4 weeks Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)
Description
  • Coordinate and/or perform quality inspections and reviews of documentation on critical equipment;
  • Identifies, co-ordinates and manage deployed QA/QC personnel assigned to the project team.
  • Audits of Contractors facilities, equipment, quality systems;
  • Audits of NDT contractors facilities in respect with NNRA safety requirements;
  • Follow-up and assessment of contractor quality performance for the project duration
  • Ensure that the processes for identification and correction of fabrication deficiencies (RFIs, NCRs, etc) are followed.
  • Ensure that the requirements of the project’s Materials Traceability process are met;
  • Manage important interfaces and work cooperatively with a variety of related disciplines.
  • Review and approval of quality deliverables
  • Review and identify where quality requirements and quality cost savings can be added and/or amended to existing projects.
  • Review and approval of contractor quality assurance/quality control procedures
  • Follow-up of inspection and test plans activities;
  • Review and approval of welding procedures specifications, witness and approval of welding procedures qualification tests, NDT, post weld heat treatment, coating, pressure testing procedures;
  • Establish and manage the internal audit program to verify implementation of and compliance with the QMS. Identify non-compliance and ensure appropriate action is taken to address the issues identified.
  • Ensure and verify implementation the Quality Management Systems in compliance with the Quality Policy, Quality Assurance Manual and applicable Standards;
Qualifications
  • Certified ISO 9001 Lead auditor, CSWIP Level III, NDT Level II,CSWIP Plant Inspection or equivalent painting specifications
  • 15 years’ experience in Quality Assurance and Control management.
  • B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering. MSc in Mechanical Engineering (or other technical discipline) will be an advantage.

  • Understanding of project construction and execution strategies
  • A “Safety First” mindset.
  • A Cadence approach mindset in quality activities
  • Awareness and commitment to HSE management standards and guidelines.
  • Knowledge and Experience with National Regulations/standards, industry specifications governing the pipeline, piping, structural, material and corrosion activities

  • Huet and Bosiet certified.

Job Description
  • Reviewing and approving Execution and Contractor’s QA/QC Documentation/Dossiers
  • Reviewing Execution Contractor’s QA/QC plans and procedures to verify if they comply with Execution Contractor’s contractual obligations.
  • Reviewing Execution Contractor’s QA/QC Site Organization to verify its adequacy and effectiveness to address all quality issues.
  • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach, monitor and evaluate results

  • Lead implementation of methodologies in order to ensure the highest quality inspection are performed at site
  • Reviewing records of internal and external Audits performed by the Execution Contractor.

  • Supervising QA/QC activities at site overseeing Execution Contractor’s QA/QC activities performing direct intervention if necessary and giving technical instruction and advice
  • Ensuring Contractor’s QA/QC deliverables are in compliance with Project requirement, analyzing and resolving issues and problem emerging during the QA/QC activities
  • Coordinating and interface with IVB inspection related activities
  • Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the teams.
  • Proven performance and capability to operate independently in own discipline.
Qualifications
  • Experience in operating electronic QA/QC Monitoring systems
  •  Degree title: Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
  • 8 years' experience in QA/QC role in the Oil and Gas Industry with appropriate supervisory experience

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good people management and leadership skills allied to a strong commercial awareness

Job Description
