Dear Mr. Okeke:

My experience as a Restaurant cook spans over four years. My talent, experience, and training make me the best choice for your open Head Cook position at [Restaurant Name]. I have included my resume for your review.

I began working in the culinary industry ten years ago. I worked part time while in high school, working for a local restaurant chain. Once I graduated, I went on to work at [Restaurant Name], where I presently retain role as Head Cook. Cover Letter tip

Always endeavour to find out the hiring manager's full name. Look them up on LinkedIn, consult the company website or give the company a call to find out. If you're unable to figure out their name, you can omit it from the recipient's section, while using preferred alternatives like: "Dear Hiring Manager:", "Dear Director of Human Resources:" or less frequently: "Dear Sir/Madam:" in the Salutation.

Dear Hiring Manager:

I would like to apply for the position of Cook at [Restaurant Name]. I believe my experience and extensive knowledge in this field makes me an ideal candidate for the position. As requested, I have enclosed my resume with this letter that will keep you further informed about my previous work experience and educational background.

I have worked in [Restaurant Name] for five years as a Cook. I was specialized in preparing continental dishes and I could also prepare Chinese, Indian and special menus requested by customers. In a year's time, I was promoted as a Cook Supervisor. Apart from cooking duties, I had to supervise cooking done in the restaurant's kitchen. As per your requirement, I can work for long hours and have the stamina to work for more than my usual work timings if there is any need. I am a team player and can also lead a team.
