Job Title:  Business Development Manager (BDM)

Location: Lagos

Description

  • The BDM establishes a fair understanding of market direction and different Customer's drivers and needs on the geographical assignment.
  • The BDM is accountable for building the opportunity pipeline, opportunity win rate, bookings, win volume and revenue growth.
  • The individual owns and drives the growth and marketing strategy for the assigned business portfolio and are responsible for the market assessment, services & product definition, and pricing definition for the introduction of new business and commercial models in support of the business development process and project deployment & implementation approved by the Geographical Unit Sales & Marketing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides support to the Marketing & Commercial forces with the domains of the assigned business.
  • Identify new business opportunities - new markets, new partnerships, new ways to reach existing markets, for SLB service/product.
  • Promote portfolio value proposition and Integration business offerings internally and externally.
  • Ownership in the opportunity management process for related Geographical Unit(s) opportunities.
  • Leads the development of proposal strategies/content/commercial models, both base and alternative cases.
  • Coordinate the technical, operational, commercial, and legal risk mitigation/support/reviews for all proposals.
  • Lead proposal/tender management reviews to obtain alignment and approval before proposal submission.
  • Participate in Contract Performance Assessments (CPA).
  • Develops and maintains good customer relationships in the Geographical Unit.
  • Attends conferences, meetings, and industry events to gain insight on industry trends and developments.
  • Ensures proper Open opportunities revenue forecasting, activity forecasting and opportunity pipeline integrity & quality.
  • Participate in customer proposal/contract negotiations, as required.
  • Ensures proper handover of associated contracts to Geographical Unit stakeholders.
  • Conduct Post Award Reviews and capture market intelligence.

Requirements
We are looking for people that are willing to learn, resourceful, great initiative, intuitive and creative, performance driven, remain current on new technologies and collaborative skills with the below qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering or any related Engineering discipline
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the energy industry
  • Previous sales engineer or account manager experience ( an added advantage )
