Job Title: Business Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Brief

Job Responsibilities

  • Process orders promptly and ensure timely delivery, providing customers with tracking details for order tracking. Follow up on dispatched orders to ensure successful delivery and obtain customer feedback.
  • Prepare and send daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including expenses and revenue, while maintaining a copy in the spreadsheet and via email.
  • Keep financial books up to date by accurately populating the accounting software, maintaining an Excel soft copy, and ensuring a hard copy version. Share a Google Sheet with the CEO for monitoring purposes.
  • Ensure prompt and real-time responses and deliveries for all orders, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct quality control checks on all orders to ensure consistent quality standards before delivery.
  • Design and implement procedures to improve profitability, streamlining processes, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Operate from the store location and schedule visits to production outfits as required for monitoring and coordination.
  • Undertake other business-related tasks as assigned by the CEO.
  • Ensure staff compliance with organizational work ethics and standards.
  • Process staff salaries in collaboration with the HR team, ensuring accurate and timely remuneration. Forward salary details to the CEO for approval.
  • Provide daily inventory updates for stock at the stores and maintain a Google Sheet shared with the CEO. Conduct weekly inventory checks for raw materials and other production stock.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to document all sales and expenses, capturing weekly financial data accurately.
  • Assist in developing strategies to increase sales volume and improve business profitability.
  • Maintain hard copies of documentation in good condition and keep soft copies up to date with proper backup procedures in place.
  • Ensure timely payment of staff salaries and bills, avoiding any misuse of business funds for personal needs. Safeguard business funds and make them available upon request.
  • Ensure punctuality at work, adhering to the revised call time of 9:30 AM daily (9:00 AM on Mondays) and closing time no later than 7:00 PM. Wrap up work before closing time and communicate any intention to leave early to avoid exceeding 7:00 PM.
  • Resolve employee and client issues promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive working and business relationship.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND or B.Sc Degree with 3-6 years experience.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in the fashion or retail industry.
  • Familiarity with business profitability improvement strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in financial management and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and order processing procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 / Month.
