Job Summary

We seek a highly skilled and experienced part-time Corporate Lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide legal counsel on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contract negotiations, and business transactions.
They will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company’s interests while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on corporate matters, business structures, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the company’s interests.
Collaborate closely with internal departments, including finance, human resources, and operations, to provide comprehensive legal support.
Collaborate with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and government agencies as necessary.
Assist in developing corporate policies, governance frameworks, and risk management strategies.
Conduct legal research and prepare reports, memos, and opinions on various corporate legal matters.
Ensure compliance with corporate laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Support with specific projects such as ESOP, Trust.
Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitrations, and negotiations.
Advise on intellectual property rights, data protection laws, and employment law as applicable.
Monitor changes in legislation and industry regulations to mitigate legal risks.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and admission to the Bar with a specialization in Corporate Law. Additional areas of expertise are a plus.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
High ethical standards and professional integrity.
Proficiency in legal research tools and Google Office Suite.
Ability to work in a remote setting.
Must have excellent Internet connection, technology tools for remote work, and ability to adjust work hours to Central Standard Time (Between 9 am - 5 pm Central Standard Time).
Proven experience as a corporate lawyer, preferably in a corporate or law firm environment with a minimum of 7 years experience
Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
