We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Credit Analyst

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Summary

• We are seeking to engage a detail-oriented and analytical candidate to fill the position of a Credit Analyst in our Lagos Branch.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing credit requests, preparing credit memos and agreements, and maintaining accurate credit files.
• This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze credit requests from individuals and corporate clients.
• Create and manage loan accounts in the company’s Core Banking System.
• Maintain accurate credit files and manage the filing system.
• Assist the Head of Risk Management with other duties as required.
• Prepare credit memos, loan disbursement schedules, and offer letters.
• Draft loan and lease agreements and ensure all documentation is in order.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Credit Approval Rate: Percentage of credit applications approved after analysis.
• Timeliness of Credit Processing: Meeting deadlines for preparing memos, agreements, and account creation.
• Accuracy of Credit Reports: Number of errors in loan/credit memos, disbursement schedules, and agreements.
• Portfolio Quality: Ensuring a low level of delinquent loans in the portfolio.
• Compliance with Risk Management Standards: Adherence to company policies and procedures in credit evaluation.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
• Technology-savvy with a strong understanding of credit analysis processes.
• 2 - 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
