Job Title: Software Developers
Job Location – Lagos (Nigeria)
Job Description
The person must possess these core skills:
Database development for any of Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server
Comfortable using Unix/Linux desktop
Software Programming with Java, C#, C, C++
Web development any of Struts, JSF, ASP.NET, and PHP
Possession of these ‘good to have’ skills will be an
advantage:
Knowledge of NDC
Knowledge of ISO 8583 knowledge or similar financialsystems standards
ATM, POS or HSM programming experience


Desired Skills & Experience
At least 2 to 5 years programming experience.

Vacancy responsibilities:
Our software developer must have been involved in:
establishing a detailed program specification through
discussion with clients;
working as part of a team, which may be established purely
for a particular project, to write a specific section of the program;
breaking down program specification into its simplest
elements and translating this logic into a programming language;
devising possible solutions to predicted problems, evaluating
other options;
combining all elements of the program design and testing it;
testing sample data-sets to check that output from the program works as
intended;
reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary;
installing the program and conducting final testing;
evaluating the program’s effectiveness;
increasing program operating efficiency and adapting to new
requirements, as necessary;
Providing 3rd line support for COTS as well as
custom developed software
conducting user acceptance testing to ensure the program can
be used easily, quickly and accurately;
writing detailed documentation for the operation of the
program by users and computer operators;
consulting manuals, periodicals and technical reports to
learn new ways to develop programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge;
Updating, repairing, modifying and expanding existing
software and generic applications.
